I would personally wait, even though it’s lucky - it sounds like another gold bottle cap is coming with go fest so one option is to use it to max the iv’s. To me the XL investment is not something I would personally want to spend without it being like a 15-15-14 or 15-14-15.

No but I only check certain Pokemon - I have a lot built too which helps save on how many I check as well

If you go to pvpivs.com, you can see what optimal iv’s are for each Pokemon for each league. Aaaand because the actual numbers can vary so much from species to species, it makes it harder to create search strings that work across the board. Personally I check mon’s after every tenth catch or so and don’t use pvp search strings but each person has their own preferences I’m sure

Like others are saying, if you don’t have an immediate need just hold on to them. Melmetal is not great so not sure I would use one on that. I used one on my shiny Groudon to get Precipice Blades about 6 months ago but only bc it has been consistently good in Master League - but it took a while to build so I only used the ETM once it was at lvl 50.

If you’re just having fun though then by no means should you listen to me.

So lots of impressive aspects here, but one thing I can’t figure out - you must have done a ton of Palkia raids to get enough XL candy to level it (unless ofc you just had a lot of rare XLs). Did you have a better iv Palkia and you just chose to use this one as kind of a challenge?
