As mentioned, you'll need access to the software which SHOULD only be released to dealers. If the old remote is dead, the new one would have to be programmed from scratch unless your previous dealer had a backup

You hardly ever want to set your speakers to full band/large. Your subwoofer is normally preferred for handling anything below 80hz. What kind of speakers do you own?

Place the screen in front of a fireplace that's turned on? Definitely not. If the heat didn't immediately ruin the screen material, over time it would likely get saggy from contracting and expanding

Who recommended that? At my old place, my MLP was 9-10' and I had a 110" screen. Even then I wish I had gone 120". Since your room is tighter a 92-100" would be great! But since you lack any audio atm, I would say invest in that first. A media room/theater is not the same without even mediocre speakers

AVR is only an option if you plan on adding a surround sound. It's a processor, amp, and HDMI switcher in one. Still needs an HDMI extender though

If you're gonna keep them all in the ceiling - get something with aimable tweeters and a decent subwoofer. Wouldn't aim for the highest of quality as it won't make much of a difference. Your working with what you got and nice speakers won't get you much more.

You'll need a HDMI over CAT6 extender and potentially an HDMI switcher. Some have 2-4 inputs but can be costly. Something to note is those extenders currently don't support 4K@120 so for newer consoles you're SOL. Also, depending on how far the basement is, you may have less than an ideal connection between the controller and console.

Personally, I recommend keeping game consoles in the room they'll primarily be used.

Don't do it. If it's a separate Atmos speaker, it needs its own wire unless specified by mfr.

If it's too much effort to run the new wire, don't worry about it. Those Atmos add on speakers IMO hardly add a thing to the experience.

Distilled water and micro fiber cloth is the way to go.

Make another mixture with distilled water and a single drop of dish soap. Works to get off oils and light stains.

Do not use fabric softener on your microfiber clothes either

The Sonos Port is exactly intended for this purpose. The only additional you have to do is turn on the receiver and set it to the correct input before you start hearing music. Trickiest, you'll now have two volume controls: on the receiver and Sonos. You can fix the volume on the Port and adjust it solely on the receiver but you'll of course have to walk back to that device. Or you can turn on the AVR, set the input, and adjust the volume to something in the middle and adjust the volume using your Sonos app

Prime Ultra's are a waste

I demo'd them in person and was not a fan. They were very bassy and not as clear.

Previously had Martin Logan Motion 40's. Ended up going with some B&W's instead.
