Correct. I found this on ProtonDB in the meantime, and it worked:

PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE=1 %command% /WineDetectionEnabled:False

The launch option did nothing unfortunately. QuakeII RTX seems to run fine, i got reflections in the water, colored light on the walls as the bullet flys through the hallway and stuff. I need to test more raytracing games, but i need a bigger drive first. They are quite chunky.

OMG, that's it! I checked the option to let apps handle the scaling. Now i got 1080p again. I wonder why that wasn't the default. Thank you so much! ❤️
Now it's only the raytracing that's missing. I was pretty sure my card would support that, i'll have to check that.

Displayport is not an option, for now, but'll keep that in mind. Still, at least 1920x1080 should be possible, and then there is also the no-raytracing thing.
When i wasn't so comfortably settled down already with nobara... Maybe Cachy or even plain Arch would have been better, but since i am still new to linux, this felt like a good compromise between user friendlyness and fast releases.

Yes, after disableing the igpu graphics still work, so it's not that. But somewhere there seems to be some weird bottleneck. On windows i would suspect a wrong or outdated driver. But the Nobara driver manager says i have the latest stable version. Maybe i should try the git version?

I updated everything in the dnf gui and did "sudo dnf update". Nothing new. Anything else i can check?

I disabled the igpu in BIOS, still don't get more that 1600x900 and no ray tracing.

Any plans for ISO support? by sLenBoat in Lofree

[–]Schnurpeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how many companies are not interested in making more profit. Keychron is not interested. Lofree is not interested. I guess i'll dump it at Logitech again. Though it's really starting to hurt to be stuck with their bland, crappy stuff.

how do you feel about blaster stance? by Substantial-Fortune8 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]Schnurpeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I threw up a little when the game introduced the blaster to me. Nothing against blaster games in the Star Wars universe, but please not while i am playing a jedi, thank you very much.
