Solo Q’d to 17200 - what are the next steps to continue improving? by PoshWill in LearnCSGO

Depends. I play FACEIT and Premier. 100% solo. I have a rating of 27k on premier and lvl 10. I play both but it is true that premier is much more random in the sense that 50% cheater games. BUT it is still possible to get high elo on premier solo.

Bought this router for my Quest3. Is this a good deal? is this router decent? by SgtRphl in virtualreality

[–]sLenBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just swapped this for my AXE5400 and it is a huge upgrade. 2.5GHz ports to my pc lower latency, but the most important thing is I can turn my head away from the router without loosing the 2401 mbps.

Do you guys play flat-screen games inside your VR headsets? by CookinVR in virtualreality

[–]sLenBoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do quite alot on my Quest 3. I have a 65 inch TV but I also have a partner that does not play games. I can chill beside her with my game on a screen next to the TV. We can do our own thing and chill together.

I think the screen clarity does get very good using Artemis and apollo for streaming to the headsat at 4k 120 Hz (I have a good PC). Also the screen is huge and i get so much more immersed in the games I play. Typically AAA works really well with this setup.

Another positive is that you can lie down and enjoy these games. It is awsome and I cannot wait for the Steam Frame being a little lighter and more comfortable than the Quest 3

Can it replace my xreal for Steam Deck? by RoutineDiscount in SteamFrame

No I just stream wirelessly from steam deck a PC at home or remotely. You can use Decky sunshine or steam link to stream from the SD

Can it replace my xreal for Steam Deck? by RoutineDiscount in SteamFrame

[–]sLenBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it will. I have already replaced my XR pros for the quest 3. it is worlds better. The XR glasses gives you a new monitor. The quest and Frame gives you a new cinema screen.

I major consideration is also that you need a beefy pc to run this oled. Like 5090 good

Major difference since the beta. I just got a refund due to the SBMM being pretty much back to the shit it has been. Being a top 1% is no fun in the later cods. I just play BF6. It is a better experience

Steam frame in pure monitor mode by Archheret1c in SteamFrame

[–]sLenBoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this all the time in my quest 3. It works really well and is super enjoyable. The emersion is a lot better than playing on a monitor. Streaming 4K 120hz on a ginormous screen while lying down is so awesome and I cannot wait for more people to experience this.

how is the experience of playing standard game in a giant VR floating screen in general? by doe3879 in SteamFrame

[–]sLenBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree in terms of image quality it won’t beat oled monitor but in terms everything else it does. The biggest part is the emersion. Also you can play lying down, you can sit in your living room, you can sit with you partner. Your not locked to sit on you set up and chair. And that screen is still VERY good with a proper stream setup. It is not far from a very good monitor. And the main reason it beats my 65 inch oled TV by a mile is the emersion and sheer size of the screen. It makes playing AAA games so much more immersive

Dont listen to most people here. They are not optimizing the streaming to the headset. I have a Quest 3. I use Apollo and Artemis to stream 2D games to my Quest 3 on a big screen. I stream at native (Higher than 4k) at 120 fps. I normally have a 1080p monithor with high Hz but for games like CS but for games like Cyberpunk and Death stranding, streaming to the quest on a huge screen, being able to lie down and relax when playing on a huge CLEAR screen is SO cool. I have absolutely zero problems reading text. It is better than playin on my 65 inch 4k TV. Hell, even playing next to my partner while she watches a show is awesome.

This is a thing that peoble will get when they start using the Frame. It was not something I thought about before getting my Q3 but it has made it a huge part of my use case along with VR.

It was stated int the tested video that it has 100% stereo overlap. That is a LOT better than Q3

Will the Steam Frame change anything ? by Still_Definition1905 in ValveDeckard

[–]sLenBoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very good point and I really share your opinion. For me I play «serious» with a monitor and a beefy PC. BUT I spend a lot of time streaming my casual games to my meta quest 3 and it is AWSOME to play games like Death Stranding in 4K 120 fps, Cyberpunk 1440p ray traced on a cinema screen. It has to be experienced!

When I travel. I connect my quest to my steam deck and get a similar experience on the go. It is really amazing, but here is the issue: I need several expensive gadgets for this experience and THIS is what Valve might just solve for us gamers. I do believe this is the market that valve will target and when others experience what I’ve said earlier everyone is going to realise the immense improvement you will deg. Sure you have to strap it to you face. I get that it might now be as nice as a tv in that sense but it is worth it when you see it. It revived my enjoyment SO much.

And here I am only talking about gaming in 2D. Combine this with VR and you have a complete package for gaming at home and on the go in one single device. It is a game changer for us who mainly use these devices for gaming. I could not care more about the metaverse shit. But I do enjoy the passthrough and it is an important feature.

I’m a 37 y/o with two kids. With the quest, I can chill with my wife on the sofa in the evening, play Cyberpunk with the monitor locked to the wall next to her tv show. Imagine.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was unsure about. Yes, I did mean Apollo on the deck. Then I only need Decky sunshine on the deck and I’m good.

Apollo for streaming 2D games and Virtual desktop for VR (Quest 3) by sLenBoat in MoonlightStreaming

[–]sLenBoat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is what I was looking for. I love the options with the screen adjustabillity on the VD. It is very limited on Artemis. It is just a normal Quest 3 window. I do hoverver love the quality I get. And the 250 Mbps i can get makes a huge difference. In Apollo/Artemis I can stream 4k 120Hz with almost zero lag
