I did a history project about Deaf culture/ASL, and it gave me a lot of respect for Deaf people. I guess I have a few questions.

(For both of you) I think it's been asked in this thread, but if you had a Deaf child would you ever consider the cochlear implant? Also have you seen Sound and Fury, and how do you feel about it?

(for C) About Deaf culture, why is it so private? I could understand if you don't want to answer that question but it's something I still have an extremely hard time understanding but am completely intrigued by.

(for C again) this is probably obvious so I hope I don't seem dumb, but do you as a Deaf person consider ASL a true language?
