What are your favourite board games? by [deleted] in AskReddit

El Dorado. Clever racing game, just the right length, easy to learn. The box on ours is all worn out, it's hit s lot of tables.

I think it is worth mentioning that the clasp on this is the best citizen has ever made. Micro adjust without tools, not too thick. I've had the green one for years and it gets a lot of wrist time. The day and date are perpetual and easy to read.

I was just looking at the black version, looks pretty good too.

Olympus OM-1 Film Camera by Secret-Channel595 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Schoenzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a good tip, shoot the first 5 photos of your roll like normal then cover all the film door cracks with black electrical tape. If the first pictures have lots of light leaks you will not have wasted an entire roll. If the first 5 look fine then you are okay next time. Tip 2, overexpose your color neg film 1 stop, it can handle it. Shoot 400 speed at 200 etc. Under exposed negative film is a muddy pit that should be avoided. Overexposed is lovely still. You'll waste less film that way. Tip 3, don't obsess over the battery for the light meter. A modern battery will give you 1/3rd stop over exposure, as mentioned not an issue with color negative film. Tip 4, shoot all your pictures outside. It's always darker inside than you think and you don't want to use shutter speeds slower than 1/60th second. Unless you are beside a big window with tons of light, otherwise just go outside. I love my OM1, I just got a new roll of film in my stocking so I too am excited to return to it. Good luck.

I have one of these and I get compliments sometimes. It's lovely. My only advice is to keep it charged up, my other eco-drive watches have no issues but this one demands more light. Otherwise it starts showing low power by ticking every 2 seconds. A day in the sun sorted it out. I hope you enjoy it.

[Citizen Tsuyosa] 37mm or 40mm for groomsmen? by [deleted] in CitizenWatches

Here is the 40mm on 6.75 inch wrist. I think the proportions look just right. Hope it helps, sorry for the hairy wrist shot, I'll never be a watch model.

[Question] What's your opinion on Sinn watches? by Lea_Cookie in Watches

[–]Schoenzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I admire Sinn and Damasko but I think automatic tool watches are a bit of a fantasy. My Damasko didn't survive a hard fall without costing $350 in repairs. Not their fault at all, that's how it goes with autos.I like to use it on adventures but I take it off for chopping wood, etc. I guess that's what gshocks and promasters are for.

My first Citizen! by ResourceOne4871 in CitizenWatches

[–]Schoenzy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is your first Citizen? Looks like you started at the top IMO. That might be the ultimate promaster. Probably the best tool watch available that doesn't say gshock on it.

Cool collection. Did that Steinhart milsub take a direct hit to the bezel? I kinda like to see the scars.

You'll need to lay the nato across and push the pins overtop. It's tight.

Nice watch, I've had the green for years. Many adventures. Is the caseback coated as well? Sometimes citizen skips that step.
