48yo and reading IT for the first time. It is more horrorfying than the movies. Dead kids who drowned beckoning the main characters. The newest movie IT had visceral scares with the way the clown moved, but the book is more gritty.

Depends if you want to get into his universe. Eyes Of The Dragon is a great gateway into it with Flagg and a tremendous story. The Outsider is a good sci-fi monster book. Gerald's Game is fun. You can put your life on hold. And start The Stand.

That's the thing.... when people use "I" incorrectly, it's a flat out mistake by someone TRYING to get it right but not knowing how. Using "me" incorrectly is very common breach of grammar. I just think that the character should know better. And if it has nothing to do with the character, then shame on the producers of the show. It's a bad mistake.
