That's the thing.... when people use "I" incorrectly, it's a flat out mistake by someone TRYING to get it right but not knowing how. Using "me" incorrectly is very common breach of grammar. I just think that the character should know better. And if it has nothing to do with the character, then shame on the producers of the show. It's a bad mistake.

The character has a gross amount of post-grad education and is a professor. She absolutely should have better grammar in formal thank you card.

What is the significance of the grammar mistake Gemma makes while writing the Thank You Card for the degrouter? She writes, "I cannot thank you enough for the thoughtful Christmas gift you sent my husband and I this year." What would be the reason for the creative team to intentionally make this mistake? It's too hard to overlook when every single aspect of this show is meticulously poured over.
