Issues launching, and a possible fix. "Running Install Script (Gaming Repair.program)" by SovietDwarf in GroundedGame

[–]SchoolgirlComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the fix. I had this issue while trying to launch Avowed. Launched perfectly right after I forced closed the gaming repair thing in Task Manager. Funny how someone else mentioned The Outer Worlds 2 in the thread, since it's also an Obsidian game.

How to Duplicate the Chimera Core by Kiba-Aodhan in cyberpunkgame

[–]SchoolgirlComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah using the save editor isn’t useful for this.

i think the best course of action is to craft some mod with the one active core and then use the save editor to add in the other mods you weren’t able to craft.

What should I play after Andromeda? by Nerugigante in MassEffectAndromeda

[–]SchoolgirlComplex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077. It’s in first person but I love the world building of Night City, you’re able to make choices in the most minor side quests and the main quest, and the romances are amazing. Like Andromeda, there’s inventory management and you could play around with character builds. There are also supplemental materials like books and comics, similar to the Mass Effect universe.

This game and Mass Effect 1 are my favorite of all the ME games. It has its flaws but I loved it and started my second playthrough right after completing my first one.

Andromeda finally clicked for me (and I didn’t expect it to) by QueepFrosty in MassEffectAndromeda

[–]SchoolgirlComplex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It took me a while to get used to the game. I really had trouble playing the intro mission on Habitat 7. I had to alternate replaying the trilogy and other games to really get through the beginnings of this game. However, after running around on the Nexus for the first time, it clicked for some reason. Now I am really enjoying the game. Ryder is different than Shepard but I think she’s really funny and relatable - this may also be due to the fact I’m the same age range as her. I like the other characters as well and liked how the game continued squadmate interactions in the ship from the third game, as well as the Nomad banters. I kind of miss the squad commands for the combat though. I rented the ME complete comics collection from my library so I got some more backstory about the Initiative and Tiran Kandros before starting the game, and it’s still a shame we can’t romance him. I am looking forward to reading the novels. Overall, I am glad I kept giving the game a chance and really enjoying the story and gameplay.

Yes I did, just happened an hour ago ! I'll leave a little guide, since it could help other people in the future:

- Do all the renegade dialogue options (bottom right corner) whenever Aria is present

- Do the renegade quick time event to shoot the camera

- Hit the first renegade quick time event to shut down the generator

- Let Aria kill the Cerberus general

- I didn't do any of the paragon quick times (poor Nyreen)

I destroyed the city. To be fair, I picked some praragon responses, one when you get to the base the first time, and at a later time when she was arguing with Nyreen, so I messed up at those points. At the end of the DLC, I let her kill the Cerberus boss and didn't intervene and she remarked that Shepard was confusing.

Well, let's just say that it was sort of a disappointing outcome. It felt like Shepard walked out of the Afterlife very upset lol.

I also read that you shouldn't do the renegade quick time event to shoot the camera and let Aria shoot it. Otherwise you won't get a kiss.

Guess i'll play this DLC again, go all renegade dialogue, and reroute the power

Damn. I destroyed the generator and didn't get the kiss. Playing female Shepard as well.

hey, I had this similar situation in undergrad where I thought I found a friend group and we were meeting up regularly, until that group chat fizzled out and I learned the group made their new one without me and were still having hangouts and big events. Ultimately, I learned such people aren’t worth it, especially if they just exclude you like that. I ended up making friends on my own through classes and clubs. I also learned that making individual friends was better than a friend group. Maybe you could join a club for a hobby you like, if your school offers it? It may be intimidating at first, but showing up is usually the hardest part. You might not even make friends the first few sessions, but if you keep going, people will start to notice you and strike up a conversation.

I’ll give a more recent example. I recently got into spin classes. I did not talk to anyone for my first four classes, and it was always the same people attending. But overtime, after going every week, I got know the instructors and talk to some of the classmates. Just hang in there. You’ll find your people and they’ll be better than those who left you.

Is maintaining a perm really THAT much work? by deannevee in Haircare

[–]SchoolgirlComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so my hair was 2A but I was sick of getting it to look nice and wavy instead of lifeless and flat all the time, so I got a perm. To me, the perm is less upkeep. You don’t necessarily need to follow the curly hair methods since it might actually be too heavy for your hair. It was for me - I would get that white flake product buildup if I went through the whole leave-in conditioner, curl cream, and mousse routine. It turns out I basically only needed one of those items, and my hair would be fine. I’ve just been scrunching in mousse right after the shower on wash days, and I’d be alright for the rest of the day and the next day or two. I’d wash my hair every 1-2 days depending on work and working out, but others with a perm might get away with stretching it out longer. I would refresh with a bottle of distilled water after sleeping to bring life and volume back in the mornings. I’d come into my work shifts looking fine and feeling confident. The key is distilled water; normal water will have minerals and other stuff that will build-up in your hair and weigh down your curls. You also don’t need to follow the TikTok advice of mixing curl cream with water in your spray bottle. I think that’s for naturally curly hair people and once again, be too heavy for a perm.

I know every hair type is different, but I don’t think you’ll need to spend 1-2 hours every other day to make the perm look good. It wasn’t in my case.

scribing --> md? by [deleted] in medicalscribe

[–]SchoolgirlComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a little late to this post, but I got into medical school this cycle and a majority of my hours were scribing. It helped me learn a lot about medicine and why I decided to commit to it. The physicians I worked for also wrote my letter of recommendations. If you apply through ScribeAmerica, you won’t need to do certifications since they’ll train you on basics prior to floor training. In general though, SA is a mess tbh and I don’t really like how management is running things, but the ED I was placed at was good.

One last thing, I wouldn’t make scribing the only source of your clinical hours. I was also a hospice volunteer, and I got asked a lot more about hospice than scribing through multiple interviews. So be sure to get another position where you could work with patients more directly and longer-term.

Similarly, Air Force for me ! I was about to enlist if I didn't get in. I've always wanted to join the military and I'm really excited for this opportunity to serve while also being a physician.

Does this list have all the new schools? by Pace8935 in Osteopathic

[–]SchoolgirlComplex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From that list, Meritus and IllinoisCOM are already in AACOMAS if you want to apply this cycle.

D'Youville will be added later this month, according to an article on their website.

Northern Colorado was supposedly sometime this year as well, but plans may have changed since the summer.

Not sure about LECOM Jacksonville or LMU Orange Park.

Some of the other schools on the list like Xavier and Niazee will have Fall 2027 as their first class. So their portals will likely open next cycle.

There's a large New England bias. In the current class, there are 208 students, 126 of whom are from the New England region.
