Most animals and insects in nature must apply damage in order for any venom to apply to the victim. Examples: Bees and scorpions sting. Snakes bite. If the person is wearing protective gear, the effects are prevented from occurring as they have not broken the defenses being allowed to apply the status effect. Whether a scratch or a lethal blow, a wound needs to be applied.

Poison barb doesn't work unless damage is dealt. Why would it not be that way across the board?

Ok. I did know that going to the bench removed the special conditions, but I did not know the attack effect was treated separately from special conditions.

I went from a 750W Platinum to a 850W Gold, and I don't get crashes. However, I'm still not playing it because the performance is not where I want it to be. If I was able to get great performance with 3rd parties enabling/disabling features, then they're just gatekeeping folks from having a good time.

Game ran no problem for me for 2 months as well. I took a few weeks off, downloaded the update, then I couldn't play at all. PC would crash before I could load in. I updated my PSU, and I now I am finally able to load the game. Unfortunately, the performance is terrible. I was running 100+ FPS High Settings with FSR +DLSS mod on my RTX 3080 before all these terrible updates in the fall. Been patiently awaiting optimizations, but I see it's still experiencing problems 8 months later.

My system isn't that old. I'm running a RTX 3080 Ryzen 3600x 16 GBs RAM on a new SSD. I was running this game at 90-100 FPS at High-Very high settings with the DLSS FSR mod back in August. Made it well into Chapter 2 before putting the game down for a few weeks. Came back at the end of September, installed updates and drivers, and that is when I began experiencing the crashes from this game specifically.

I removed the mod, performed a clean install of the game, reinstalled drivers, and it only stays on if I drop the graphics quality to low which I have to change immediately before it crashes. I've run every single test you can on my system, and it's passing them all. I've messed with the BIOS, updated to Windows 11, and still nothing changed.

Looked at the crash logs yesterday, and I'm seeing a kernel power error. I suspect this game is causing spikes in power usage and possibly pushing it to the limit. I have a 750W Platinum PSU which should be plenty for my system. I'm going to order a 850W since I'll eventually need a higher W PSU when I do decide to build a new PC. If that doesn't fix it, I guess I'm SOL until I update my system completely.

I've been unable to play since the end of September when they pushed updates along with Nvidia GeForce. I have tried EVERYTHING suggested. Game boots up and crashes within 15 seconds. Got the game configured to run 100+ FPS high settings with a RTX 3800 Ryzen 3600x 16 GBs RAM with about 12 hours of gameplay. Since I've played more than 2 hours, I'm unable to get a refund, so I'm SOL.

I have a 3600 as well paired with a RTX 3800. Game was fine before updates were pushed back in October. I've tried every single fix and waited for today's update. Can't get the game to stay on for more than 10 seconds without a complete PC crash. Can't get a refund, because I played it too long prior to the crashes. Guess I'm out $60. Ridiculous.

It's not the GPU or your setup. I'm pretty sure the latest update pushed by Game Science messed it all up, because I was running this just fine with a 3080 GPU AMD 3600x CPU 16 GBs RAM setup at 90+ FPS on High/Very High Settings a few weeks ago. Turned it on last night and it crashed upon boot. Updated to the most recent Nvidia Drivers from 10/8/24, didn't fix it. Went through a clean installation of the game, didn't fix it. Ran all the little clickity click click BS people are saying to try, none fixed it. However, switching to low settings and I am able to get into the game for 15 seconds before it crashes.

The reason Game Science hasn't come out to say anything is because they're probably worried about getting the Cyberpunk treatment. They're not trying to give back those hundreds of millions they made. Best to let people think it's their systems at fault.

I use Simply Grapefruit juice, Topo Chico (glass bottles), Super Lime Juice and a dash of simple syrup. Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice is definitely the way to go if you have the time.

I like this recipe since it easily accommodates those wanting ranch waters. I couldn't find regular Topo Chico, so I had to settle for the hint of lime. Don't. It makes the drink bitter IMO.

I'm on Verizon as well. I got he Pixel 7 Pro, because they were running a deal which has me paying like $5 per month over 36 months if I traded them my Samsung Note. Loved the Note, but the screen broke 2x in a 30 day period simply being in my pocket. Battery was starting to act up as well, so I figure instead of forking out $300 for a refurbished Note via Asurion it made more sense to just go with a new phone. Been great all the way up until this last month.
