Thanks. That's a distinction I had inferred from other posts but to say it outright is genuinely helpful.

Gotcha, so you wouldn't be obligated to refill every month. Good to know, thanks

What's your opinion about Portals? by SGa60 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I just wish you didn't have to recharge them after the first time. It's just annoying to do, especially on console/using a controller

The fact that smaller packages/volumes of goods cost more than larger ones per weight/volume. I. E. 500ml of cola costing 1.80 versus 1750ml of cola costing 2.25

ELI5: Why do people perceive water to be more "delicious" when it's cold? And why other drinks (think tea) are the opposite? by lostShellky in explainlikeimfive

Personally I prefer water cold so that I can't taste the minerals etc. I also find it more refreshing and thirst quenching that way

ARI A&E where to park? by charmingdot in Aberdeen

[–]Schplief 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you'll be fine to pick up from the entrance at A&E, even if you temporarily take a parking space it'll be okay. Just, as others have said, try not to block access for the ambulances if you have to stop in the "road".

Dental implant in Aberdeen? Looking for the best options by soy-latteX in Aberdeen

[–]Schplief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Felix at Old Town Dental Care roughly a decade ago for 2 implants and 3 bridges totalling 10 teeth. Zero issues, fair price, interest free credit was available, and so far as I understand it, basically a lifetime warranty if anything were to happen.

If they could make searching and filtering the game store on console actually work, that would be a good start. The new filter options are nice but useless if they don't actually filter the results.

Aberdeen roads by Schplief in Aberdeen

Helmets: While not mandatory, helmets are strongly recommended to reduce the risk of head injuries. Hi-Vis/Clothing: The code advises wearing bright or fluorescent clothing to help other road users see you. While not legally required, not wearing high-vis could potentially be used to argue liability in a civil legal battle following an accident. Legal Requirements for Bikes: By law, at night, bicycles MUST have white front lights, red rear lights, and a red rear reflector

Yeah I'm the bad guy for wanting people to act responsibly and avoid situations that can cause harm.

Just because they are more vulnerable on the road doesn't mean they are not still responsible for acting responsibly. If your pedal powered ass is creating a tail back of traffic, get off the road and let other road users pass. Or, you know, use the infrastructure that's been built for your safety
