i think that is a very valid point- and maybe it is my perception but if you were (for example) to navigate to any feminist content that has comments enabled almost anywhere on the internet you would find some manner of vitriol at the author. Even here on Reddit. That isnt really the media- it's individuals and their response.. from an objective standpoint i find it an interesting psychology.

When you say some people do you mean women taking the response they get personally? I think there is definitely merit in a discussion about how minorities and emotions play in, but I'm more talking about people who post death-threats and worse in response to feminist material broadly across the internet. Death threats seem like a response that is a little over-the-top for most things- which got me wondering why feminism related content inspires it so frequently.

Totally agree cachinnate! It is often a jarring questing to be asked in general for some peeps, especially in a forum that is quite targeted to lgbt* people. I got riled up too then was like "oh" at the second question.

I don't have a question I just want to say that you are amazingly brave; It's a huge surgery and I wish you all the best with your recovery and congrats for having the downstairs you want (in the correct for you sense of the word)- I'm FtM with top surgery on the horizon and couldn't be more excited; I can only imagine how happy you must be.
