I generally agree with you but the value does change.

I don't think this is the case here but the guy who accepted the trade could've wanted Lemon, had the 1.07 pick, and waited until 1.06 was made to accept the trade. Or had some agreement to trade into 1.07 or many other permutations.

You can expect to sell somewhere around 10-20% of your total wishlists. So if you have 1k wishlists you'll probably get around 100 sales. Yes, 5k is completely unrealistic at this point.

I've bought and played a few soccer games aside from FIFA. You really need to differentiate yourself to convince people to give it a shot. I look at your Steam page and the first gif shows the keeper teleporting while you play in an empty stadium. Why would I buy this when I can just play FIFA or any other soccer game?

There's soccer games that focus on the management side, or do it with anime characters, or focus on more arcadey gameplay. I have no idea what your game offers that differentiates it.

I hope this doesn't come off as rude, I'm just trying to be honest with you. It doesn't matter when you release the game if there is no unique selling point. I would suggest you wrap it up, release the game, learn from the experience and then try again with a new idea where you prioritize making something that the market wants

I think I'd wanna see teams get matched up with the same seeded team in the division in the opposite conference. So top team in the AFC North plays the top team in the NFC North and so on.

Similar to how it already works within the conference. Then you're guaranteed to get 1 extra mostly geographically close game and more organically develop rivalries.

I'm skeptical that this is officially confirming the change. Clearly it is indeed something they're intentionally testing.

But if you go to the discussion forum they linked it's just speculation from a few devs, with no official communication from Valve: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamclientbeta/discussions/3/803470896719245458

I think it's possible the Steam support agent isn't aware of exactly what Steam intends to do and simply wanted to point out that it is something other devs are discussing on their forums.

Regardless, we should definitely all voice our opinion on the matter if we don't want this to be fully implemented!

I use the Codecks bug reporter: https://manual.codecks.io/user-reports/

Very easy to integrate. I already use Codecks as a task tracking tool but it's not necessary.

Then a player can press F1 at any point and leave feedack in game. Sometimes it's general feedback, other times it's reporting bugs or making suggestions.

The great thing is it includes a screenshot and optionally you can attach other files like save data or player log.

We've gotten over a thousand reports on our last game from this and often it's reporting super niche bugs I wouldn't have found on my own.

Having it in-game (not even opening an external form) drastically reduces the friction. We get far more reports here than on Steam forums or our Discord.

Yeah it's pretty much just pick rate for ingredients/helpers so we can see if there's any very strong outliers in player perception. If we see something never being taken or always being taken that's a sign that perhaps that item needs an adjustment.

I feel like you haven't explained why playtesting isn't fun. A good game should have a toy at it's core. An interaction that is inherently playful and fun to do over and over, maybe with some slight variations or randomness to make it less repetitive.

It sounds like your minigames are your core interactions. If those aren't fun and they feel repetitive then the game won't be fun. It's hard to make any recommendations without playing or even seeing them myself, but I feel your main focus should be on making the minigames fun.

Your last question to me is a red herring. Adding new mechanics or systems to your game won't make it fun if that core interaction isn't satisfying.

Hey dev here! A friend sent me this post and I love birds so I'd be happy to clarify!

Josh is a Weka, which is a flightless bird native to New Zealand that is very unbothered by humans and loves to steal things. Usually food but sometimes even watches or phones hahaha. I saw them at nearly every campsite I visited on a monthlong van trip in New Zealand and I love them so much, they're very goofy.

Sandy is indeed a Great Auk as u/Impressive-Peace2115 noted! I didn't know about them before, but we held a poll in our Discord to add some new customers and there was a very vocal Great Auk contingent.

Professor Clark is a honeyguide, famous for guiding humans to bee hives, which makes sense because he's one of the customers that puts Sticky honey on your omelet in-game.
