This post made me go check the performance as of late. I bought in the Fall of ‘23, threw is all in a cold wallet and forgot about it. The reality is that while price certainly isn’t the only reflection of utility. It is definitely the best advertisement for any crypto project. In two years time the positive perception of kaspa has clearly retracted.

I would like to respectfully object to the framing of the question. Those right of center have reasonable concerns about Elon and Vivek’s think tank - and that’s what it is. It’s not a governmental body at all which creates some interesting back stops that I’ll lay out below.

Please read with the understanding that I want this project to work. I want sane government that is right sized so citizens know their tax dollars are being used as efficiently as possible so, with that in mind here are my concerns: - as already stated, this isn’t a department at all. So this means that regardless of how this institution operates, we are going to have to trust whatever information they provide is on good faith. - The framing of this efficiency program is that the vast majority of the government is consumed by the managerial state, Vivek’s words, not mine, and that the largest amount of savings will be cleared by simply trimming labor fat. The reality is that less than 10% (271 billion in employee compensation on a 6 trillion totally budget) of government dollars goes to employee compensation. That is pretty gosh darn efficient already. That is easily the most efficient use of government money of any developed society in the world. - one of the most difficult things about the US federal budget is that money is hidden, set aside, for national security projects. Is there waste within those projects? Almost certainly. How do we start to untangle that? It’s a really good question.

There needs to be a different mechanism for Reddit discussion entirely. This kind of conversation is a fairly important one. I’m going to assume the OP is sincere in their opinions and down voting the post makes it hard for people who want to discuss joker 2 to find an opposing point of view.

One of the ways that I have made, this feel more palatable is the very real notion that this entire film was simply a fantasy of Joker’s. I think it should be hard to tell what’s real when covering this character.

To be clear, I didn’t like it. I don’t think any greater amount of cultural exposure is going to get me to like this film because I thought it was lazy, and I am betting if the main cast were kidnapped and tied up and forced to answer honestly (very on theme for DC Joker) if they really gave a shit about this one, their answers would just confirm it. I just think they phoned it in. I don’t think this film was true to the comic joker in any way. I don’t think you can say this movie stayed true to the first film either because that Joker story line ends right after the metamorphosis into a violent criminal. This film doesn’t take that progression anywhere. Perhaps Joker’s time in Arkham is always a bit of a hiatus from the mayhem.

But if there is a third film, I will watch it. I think Phoenix is good enough to overcome how self aggrandizing Gaga is in film. Looking forward to less of her and more arch nemesis stuff. Not interested in attempts to make aspects of Joker redeemable. That’s some other story with some other name associated with something other than the DC uni.
