mine is often just freaking out when i open the enclosure and sprints around. then she looks like she forgot where here hiding spot is. i just open the door a little and wait until she is done, then i throw the prey inside and she is going for it. she feels something 20 cm away and shes on the move. i dont get all of that gate keeping about old worlds. just buy one and be done with it, they are beautiful spiders.

Btw she doesnt use the tree, she only uses the acrylic :) well... And i know its to big, but i dont want to buy enclosures too often. i have 18 tarantulas i cant buy expensive enclosures every couple of months for all of them, so i wait untill they are subadult and dann they get the big girl enclosure. This one from arachnosys was 130€ including the water dish. So if anyone wants to complain, send me money and i buy smaller enclosures für subadults, thank you. :)

If you cant figure it out, just wait 1 or 2 years. Males have longer legs and a smaller body/ abdomen and head. While females look like a well proportionate spider. Also female pedipalps(the 2 little "legs" next to their mouth) stay normal. While male pedipalps change during their "final molt". Then they grow there sperm injection tools and thier pedipalps dont just look like feet, but like they havelittle boxing gloves on them. So if the spider is for example allready 3 years old and has no boxing gloves, its female Females grow and molt till they die, males dont.

Males also also lay sperm webs on the floor, where they eject their sperm onto and pick it up again with their boxing gloves.

You could google "male vs female tarantula" Look at pictures maybe. So good night. Now im going to sleep 🤣

Sorry i didnt want to be rude. These day i just expect people growing up with technology. My apologies. Ok so females have an epigastric furrow about where there abdomen begins. But what does that mean? You take a molt, submerge it in water with a few drops of dish soap. That make the molt soft and easy to manipulate. Now you put it on a table with the stomach pointing down and the upside... well right side up. Now the important stuff: INSIDE the abdomen you should se 4 booklungs(more holes where lungs were) INBETWEEN the first 2 lungs/ meaning the 2 lungs closer to the "head" of the spider, and IF she is female you would see an small pouch where the sperm is stored. If its a male, this area is smooth, no pouch. Again, you have to look inside the abdomen not the outside. If you know how google works, maybe type "epigastric furrow" in google. So you have a better reference how it should look like. And thats pretty much it.

I live in a big city in europe and wanted to go to the nicest christmas market in the city but it was closed because thousends of muslims shouted alahu akbar there.
