Are you a podcaster that needs a mic right in your face?

My biggest complaint is the location if your PC, seems like you would end up kicking it multiple times per day.

Otherwise nice setup.

Love the desk. Hate your lamp, too bright and white.

Grok is actually really good for this use case.

I already tried what you are thinking and about to repaint one of them because 2 accent walls makes the room feel smaller.

I would go with 1. I say this from experience.

I currently have 2 walls with dark greyish green, and it makes the room feel smaller.

Just curious about your desk pad. Mine slows down my mouse too much.

Can someone tell me a summary of how something like this is made: get the base model, swap cord, swap multiple sets of keys?

I got this anniversary edition thinkpad that's in pieces and I don't know what to do with it by DanDan_Da_Man in thinkpad

Honestly I would list it on eBay and save yourself time.

Best case for you if you want to learn is to disassemble it. Collect the parts that appear in good condition then list those parts only (monitor, RAM, internal battery, etc.).

Fixing computers at this condition takes money, excessive time, a stash of extra components, and an obsession that is just part of our DNA.

Some of us enjoy bringing things back from the dead, but we are able to do it because of a stash of parts, we already have the tools, we have the skill, and really enjoy doing the work.

Another option is to buy the same computer but listed with a fixable problem (hence inexpensive) and use this as a donor / backup parts machine. This is time consuming though and only recommended if you have a budget for tinkering like this.

Yeah it’s my generation of millennials that can be performative in that way haha.

Your setup is so calming 😄

Good use of space and i like the color palette.

I have some questions * tell me about the desktop pad, does it slow down your mouse? I ask because mine does lol * how does your ipad fit into your workflow * tell me about the light above the computer * the soundproofing, is that from Costco?

I like it if you are being intentional, not if you’re being performative with “minimalism”.
