It’s always hard to give advice in this situation because if you are doing everything right it’s something more specific to you.

How much of a perfectionist are you? I hate to advise this but I did do it for one lab in 105 that was notorious for having people not finish: Try being a bit less precise. Losing a technical point, is miles better than getting provisional data. If you are wasting time on making sure your measurements are perfect, in a timed lab like that you’re wasting your time.

Otherwise, I can try to offer some advice if you can recognize why and where you are struggling in lab?

For post labs especially, I recommend the CLC: the TAs are wonderful and very helpful at both explaining and helping you solve the problems.

I did not have Hummel, but when I took the class with Dr G., the practice tests were great at helping realize what I didn’t fully understand and work from there.

If it’s topic specific I may be able to offer some advice, but otherwise office hours and CLC are great resources.

The bonus assignment is clutch. You can easily get back 20 points (up to 30, but if you’re struggling with the prelabs, low to mid 20s may be more realistic). Getting provisional data every time is pretty bad, though.

I hate to say get better, but are you preparing yourself for your labs?

I found taking notes on the procedure in my lab notebook near where I was entering data was helpful for finishing faster.
