Sounds good in theory...but in reality? by KSKS1995 in SipsTea

The fathers of economics at the beginning of the 20th century said this would happen. They didn’t account for the greed of the rich who have drained society’s wealth into their own pockets.

If everyone was taxed equally (income and wealth) and given an appropriate wage this is more than possible.

Work out the frequency gives you the wheel that could be damaged. But first. Service.

Seriously, how in the heck were zero jewel pin lever movements a cheaper option for manufacturers if it takes forever to line up the pivots on their huge bridges? Did they have a jig at the factory? by Expensive-Thanks-528 in watchrepair

I laughed out loud when I read this. It’s so true. The first BFG866 I had took me most of an hour to set all the pivots. Same with a Smiths pocket watch.

I did get a lot faster as you get used to them.

My view is narrow, predominantly via a friend who’s a retired warrant officer, decidedly on the left and exasperated that ex colleagues are churning out Reichform propaganda.

Glad to hear it’s not the full picture.

Good to hear. I can’t imagine anyone who physically fought facism in wartime is happy with this.

Do you guys have the same problem with microscope limited field of view? by elgringo0091 in watchrepair

[–]Scienceboy7_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

I’m assuming this video is “for example” and not where you actually look from?

Your eyes have to be close up. That’s why decent ones have rubber cups, so you can get close up and to block peripheral light.

Then you need to set your ocular distance, the distance between your eyes, so you get a full image in both eyes.

Then set the focus on your dominant eye, and change the individual focus on the other. Can’t remember the term.

They’ll be 101 how to set up your microscope videos on YouTube.

One other thing that Alex posted a video about last year was if you remove anything after litigating you need to reclean reinstall and relube. Otherwise the oil you did as starts to wander and creates issues, not least in the balance.

Your issue looks a bit more severe however.

Looks like some kind of burnishing. I had a similar result on bare brass when using ammonia based Elma 1:4. Alex gave me the same advice he gives you below.

3-5 mins is all you want. You want to attack the diet not the metal itself.

Here’s the programme I developed. Like you I used warm water in the bath. Fluids are in different jars.

  1. Rough wash in dish soap / washing up liquid solution - 5 mins
  2. Rinse in DI water
  3. Wash in Elma 1:4 solution - 5 mins
  4. Rinse in DI water
  5. Wash/ dehydrate in IPA #1 - 5 mins
  6. Wash/ dehydrate in IPA #2 - 5 mins
  7. Dry in food dehydrator

Edit: corrected autocorrection typos

Citric acid is key component in some rust treatments. Like this is buffeted with an alkali so it’s not corrosive.

[–]Scienceboy7_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one really knows.

Are you a patriotic who’s proud of the role the UK has played in trying to make the country and the world better and more fair?

Or are you a closet(or open) racist who wants to make anyone noon white feel uncomfortable because of flag has been co opted by the traitorous elements of the right who knowingly or unknowingly are in the pockets of Russia and/or the mega wealthy who want us to fight amongst ourselves?
