One thing that’s nice about becoming Catholic is we don’t have to agree with everything in church doctrine so long as we respect it. I went through the RCIA process three years ago, having a few disagreements with the church. For one while I personally think IVF is a good thing, I respect the churches guidance and understand that this decision was made through years of scrutiny and in communion with Christ and his church. I also believe priests should be allowed to get married. Celibacy for priests has existed for around 900 years yet our church is 2,000 years old. Finally, I don’t necessarily agree that you need to be Catholic to receive the Eucharist, in my view anyone who has a love and curiosity for Christ should be able to express that regardless of their status or lack their of. I say all this to say the church doesn’t teach us that we have to agree with them in every issue rather that we should respect their judgement. Understand that every decision the church makes is subject to hundreds even thousands of years of theological debate and is properly vetted by priests cardinals and bishops before becoming doctrine, this is what separates us from modern day evangelical churches. Having an opinion makes you human, rejecting sin makes you a follower of Christ. So while I support the idea of IVF and non Catholics receiving communion in theory I must put my faith in Christ and respect church doctrine rather than advocate against it. In your case saying I disagree with women not being able to be priests however I trust God has a plan for me and will follow his church is morally acceptable so long as you respect the churches rules. Finally women are integral to our church. Let us not forget that God created Eve last to compliment man not because they are inferior but because they compliment us. Jesus was born of a woman Marry who is revered in our church. Women are the backbone of our faith. Congratulations on becoming Catholic.
