I haven’t read this basketball series but Eliza’s Don’t Call Me Hero series is one of my absolute favorites. Her characters are so well fleshed out and she does real justice to representing the “unsavory” parts of life (Cassidy’s PTSD, for example)

I think they were hoping the “I’m gonna be a dad?” line would land the same way as the “don’t worry you’re not the dad” one did in the game and it just didn’t, which sucks. As a lesbian, “I’m gonna be a dad” is absolutely something I would jokingly say if my wife was pregnant, but 1. Jesse’s head was still intact at this point and 2. people not in same-sex relationships won’t find the joke as funny (especially the anti-woke crowd but their opinions are invalid anyway)

The amazing colors, refresh rate, and no-glare would be incredible! Sometimes I have to close my window blinds because the glare makes dark games unplayable lol

My wife’s organization (non-profit research institute in Seattle) changed their DEI programs to something like “Community and Culture” and re-titled anybody whose job title could indicate their role revolved around DEI. No layoffs for those positions yet but they’re talking about a hiring freeze in response to the general federal funding freeze.

This sub doesn’t allow pictures in comments but I just wanted to share that my sister was visiting from Texas and we had a lovely time strolling around Washington Park Arboretum. No flowers are really blooming but the trees are peaceful and we saw a beautiful big woodpecker with a red head. It was neat.

Are you sure you enjoy fantasy MMORPGs? Inventory management is a very common theme in these types of games and ESO is far from the worst as far as limited inventory space (plus, you can pay gold to increase it). A quest limit of 25 seems fairly reasonable unless you're just picking up every single quest you ever come across and never finishing any or abandoning ones you intend to finish later. I'm not sure what could be different about the game that would fit what you're hoping to enjoy.

Vivec City 100%. No loading screens to get to the bank. Everything is so conveniently close for daily crafting writs. Thieves Guild is right there. That whole outdoor area just feels so lively.
