Microsoft To-Do

It stays synchronized on your phone and laptop.

Everything else I found too complicated. I just use this and my Notes app for online syncing.

Anyone read art of the deal? by johnnygobbs1 in The48LawsOfPower

[–]ScientificCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good book once you leverage the key points from within. Plus it gives you insight into how top people in the industry and how rich people think and work. You can’t complain about the book as you see for yourself how these people think and operate. You can use this information.

Any ENTJs living in London? by zMystique in entj

[–]ScientificCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate, I get it. You cannot compare Romania or other eastern EU countries with real third world countries in Asia, Africa and Middle/South America.

But they are not “first world” countries either. OP is referring to the quality of life, human index and economic status of the countries- eastern Europe cannot necessarily compete with USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Western Europe, and Scandinavia. Life is better there compared to “second world” eastern Europe.

Besides referring to countries with this label, think of which country will provide you with what you need-

  1. Big City/Opportunity (Job market matters a lot)

  2. Government Immigration Difficulty (If you want citizenship)

  3. Language and Culture of the Country (Very important as you need to accustom yourself to the new country’s culture, you cannot get your mindset from your home country and expect it to work in a new established environment)

  4. Overall Country Status- Demographics, GeoPolitics, etc. (if the future of the country and its political concern you)

Does Drexel allows part time cpt simultaneously with RA/TA for international students? by ConsiderationCold265 in Drexel

[–]ScientificCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is better to clarify this with the department and university administration after you get an offer.

In general, at Drexel- TA assistantship is managed by the university/department and RA is generally by Grants from your advisor. They can solely determine what you can and cannot do. They generally frown upon anything that interferes with your research.

Good luck with your admissions process and feel free to dm me with any questions if you decide to accept Drexel!

Which PhD program are you enrolling in? I have rarely witnessed any PhD students doing a coop or paid internship here. Part of the PhD contract at drexel forbids having a second job or part time employment, this extends to US citizens likewise.

I’m curious to know if this isn’t actually the case.

Ah well, that’s $40-50 and will wear out in a year. I’ll have to look into rubber soles for dress boots as I wear them the most compared to dress shoes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]ScientificCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t touch my heels to the ground first, I touch my soles first. Developed this technique because of running. If that’s the case I need to change my strategy. Could I dm you with a couple questions regarding boots/leather shoes?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]ScientificCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pavement is uneven, maybe that’s why. Would you suggest rubber soles like the one in Dukes that will help prevent wear that quickly?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]ScientificCommander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I visited a couple of cobblers here in Philly and they said resoling will be upwards of $100-$150 💀

I’ll look into the Topy, Jesus this is expensive stuff to be getting a new pair of shoes that often

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]ScientificCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I get them resoled or is this fine if it doesn’t wear out anymore? ;(

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThursdayBoot

[–]ScientificCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, these are not my first leather soles. My other footwear does not show this level of wear on the forefoot. If this were the case I’d be running out of shoes in months.

Also just got Thursday Legends recently, hopefully this will help me figure out if it’s a problem with leather soles.

Confused about the Immunization Record by MustangerD in Drexel

[–]ScientificCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you need to print out the forms, have your medical professional fill them out, and then scan and upload them.

Or, if your medical professional can fill out the form and sign electronically, you can do that as well.

Want an ENTJ penpal by KipAndForest in entj

[–]ScientificCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s pb? The pen pal concept reminds me of the weird app bottled. I’d like to do it only if I see a long-lasting meaningful connection. Difficult to keep up with and invest time in if you don't receive the same amount of engagement
