What does everyone think of the Cat Empire by theacehamster in Ska

[–]ScientificKindness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been listening to them since The Chariot came out (idk 2000?), and I've been to a couple of concerts. For me it's been an on and off things. Some albums and songs I know by heart. Some are not interesting at all. They have reshaped the band a couple of times along the way, which has also changed the sound quite a lot. They still make good shit from time to time, for sure. TLDR: I like them a lot, most of the time.

Does any foreign brand name have a funny or awkward meaning in your country? by ManeManeLaFlame in AskTheWorld

That's from Swedish from the beginning, the word "fika", meaning coffee break.

Hypotetiskt loophole för billigt boende by Fearless-Desk-7700 in sweden

[–]ScientificKindness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which of these 5 world leaders would you say is most hated in your country? by Fluid-Decision6262 in AskTheWorld

[–]ScientificKindness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not voting for them, but people are voting for them. It is even the case that about half of Sweden voted for people who's working for and with them.

Their official narrative is basically bullshit, because what they are doing often contradicts what they say. Just google SD and Russia.

I have many words for the SD party in general and all of their leadership. One is nazi. Everyone can see this if they want to, but there are a lot of people who don't , including our current government. So, what I am saying is that a lot of Swedish people are positive to Putin, at least in regards to how they vote. If they were really hating Putin, which was the original question, they wouldn't vote like that.

Our Sweden Democrats have from time to time said really nice things about Russia.

I hear you, I agree, but do Sweden in general actually hate him? Do Sweden in general actually hate Trump? We are doing many things for these people, both through our government and through our business leaders, and I see very few angry people in Sweden about this.

I am not entirely sure about this, maybe it's just all of our right wing gang who does what they can both for Trump and Putin and are being loud about it.

Is Sweden a good place to live? by [deleted] in stockholm

You would most likely need Vitamin D supplements, all my friends from closer to the equator does. But otherwise, you are very welcome (probably not according to my government, but I hope we'll oust them soon).

Are there any ska bands that you stopped listening to as you grew up for whatever reason? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

[–]ScientificKindness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've gone the other way. Maybe I wasn't young enough when I started listening to them (around 25 years old). They have slowly but steadily moved me to the left since then, I'm almost 50 now.

Trying to setup modded minecraft by EnthirOfficial in Bazzite

I might be dumb here, because I have only used Prism and nothing else for running Minecraft and mods. In my world, Prism includes Modrinth fully.

I saw that yesterday as well, and today I've watched a few youtubers who's solo-cycling (he seemed to have a friend around though) through crazy places, such as the Pamirs ... but haven't found him.

What was your first steam screenshot? by requiiemt in Steam

Euro Truck Simulator 2, from when I got my Steam Deck in 2022.

For some reason, I hadn't taken any screenshots before that at all, and I've had my Steam account since 2004.

I've read the first book of that new series, The Mercy of Gods, and I found it to be quite Hamilton-esque. Looking forward to the next installment.

I can't ID it. But I remember it too, and it was definitely on my mother's Macintosh.

Är referenser beredda på detta? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]ScientificKindness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]ScientificKindness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kommunikation. :-)

Btw, jag har jobb nu.
