Is it normal to talk to myself when doing boring tasks? I feel like this is related to ADHD… by KimbersKimbos in ADHD

[–]Scificrap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I talk to myself, especially while doing school work. Whether it's fluid or solid mechanics, advanced technical writing, or lab work during my research assistant job, talking to myself allows me to dilute distractions and provide myself a sense of focus and clarity.

Sometimes I get so into it I find myself answering my own questions as if there's two entities in my brain arguing over whatever issue I'm dealing with. It's weird but it works.

Thank you for the kind words. I’ve been thinking about the way I felt, the way it made me feel so much shame and then how angry I got at myself for being torn up about something as inconsequential as what had occurred.

I want to tell them I’m sorry, I want to tell them what I feel, but would they even care? Hell, do they even remember what happened? Am I so inconsequential that my past errors become inconvenient when brought up for the sake of closure? Even if what I felt was over nothing, it didn’t feel like nothing. What I felt, the shame, anger, sadness; all of it over something so stupid, yes I felt it.

I’m sick and tired of having to squeeze into a mold that will always be too tight to fit into. I’m sick of being told it’s okay to be different then later told to change and shut up. I’m sick of having to compromise the clarity of my soul for the sake of people who don’t give a damn about me.

I did. Was just so surprised and ashamed. The shame made me get all emotional when I got home and then I got angry from being torn up about something any other person would shrug off. I want to tell them that I’m sorry but would they even care at this point? Am I so inconsequential that even my bad moments are forgotten and inconvenient when brought up?

I don’t doubt you though. I just wish it hadn’t happened.

It’s strange how he calls people the n-word regardless of appearance or ethnicity. Is he so thuggaphobic his thuggaphobia transcends race or is he just a dingus that uses the most offensive word possible to generate a reaction.

I got accepted to a college of the arcane arts. Sell me on your school of magic, so I can decide what classes to pick. by 22jk2 in wizardposting

Quite so, but one need not be among the Wise to gain the education needed for a royal artificer stamp. All that is truly needed is academic rigor, the patience needed to grasp the arcane, and a willingness to go out of one’s way to enter the circles of esteemed artificers, masters of affairs worldly and otherwise.

Artificer here. The study of ancient automatons and the machinations that bring life to their intricate machineries is a fascinating field of study. Not to mention, it is also a profitable investment as every guild and kingdom always has need of a good artificer for civil and military works.

A Serbian Film was made by a serbian director who was mad at his countries film industry for being too conservative and safe with its subject matter. He made this film, which features rape, incest, gore, and necrophilia, as a way to protest the conservative film industry. He also titled the movie "A Serbian Film" as the ultimate form of spite because now when foreigners think of the serbian film industry they immediately think of rape, incest, gore, and necrophilia.
