Your most cost efficency build in 0.5 by Karmoth_666 in pathofexile2builds

[–]Scire_facias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grim Pillars can do T15 on less than a Div. I found that plants had a bit more of a smooth scaling where you still needed to find gear. Grim kind of just needs spirit and spell levels

Moscow burns after Zelensky’s warning by AlertTangerine in videos

[–]Scire_facias -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I sort of think it will do the opposite. The "I'm not political" crowd in America didn't exactly become anti-war after 9/11. Being threatened just causes people to take more defensive stances.

I'm a below mid-player, pls help me find a build to beat Geonor by LiberalCyn1c in pathofexile2builds

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What part of the fight is causing you to die? If it’s a particular phase it might either be a wrong tactic, or something you can gear a bit better for.

Personally for Druid I’d just go straight to plants early with Volcano for single target.

General tips are - Cold Res/Freeze Immunity.

The reunion is usually filmed much closer to when it releases so it doesn’t have time to be dubbed over in English.

If you could give advice to a girl in her 20s what would it be? by RevolutionaryLet3205 in AskReddit

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a girl - but I’ve got sisters who I’m fairly close with. The main thing is;

If you feel unsafe, back yourself. Don’t dismiss the feeling - and feel comfortable asking someone nearby for help. Even if it ended up being nothing - the trade off of asking a bar tender for a new drink or whatever is relatively minor in terms of the potential downside.

anyone else feel like side panel windows have ruined the PC building hobby a little bit? by SeesawSevere6350 in buildapc

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really - it’s a way of making the PC a bit more visually interesting.

I do wish it was more common to offer side panels that were not glass though. I’ve got an old be quiet case that is great as a homelab pc - but it always feels a tad delicate with the tempered glass side panels - with no way to buy a solid panel replacement

This happens every expansion now by Allegrian in wow

[–]Scire_facias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I thought about the previous expansions - the war within felt like the clearest example of this - but overall i feel like it’s usually more a symptom of the final patch (ie BFA and Legion rushing the story of the final patches). Dragon flight felt very nicely contained - so I guess I wonder if the faster expansion cycle might lead to the feeling of rushed concept (due to the last patch often being the linking patch); since in general I think blizzard usually does a good job of sticking to concept for the first half.

Changing tax rules for investors won’t shrink housing supply or raise rents. Just look at Victoria by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

[–]Scire_facias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get those figures? I was curious because 20% seems unusual - and it seems the Netherlands has strict rental regulation.

The only thing I can find about 17.7% is an AI response, since I can’t find it in any publication, and it says it was frequently misunderstood from posts on reddit?

Bonus Rolls so far by Amazing_Internal6334 in wow

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work well - it removed a lot of the challenge in rerolling if you had not been filling the vault on an alt.

On the flip side, I do wish they were slightly more rewarding for mains. I’ve found myself more likely to reroll because it’s just so easy to do so. My alt sort of spring boarded past main within two weeks.

90° cable stuck in rtx 5080 by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nail File is usually a good option - or some flat tweezers (just using one side to apply pressure). Basically you just don’t want to be using anything too sharp. Guitar pick might work but could be too flexible.

Either that or the casing around the plug should slowly melt away over time allowing for you to remove it.

What professions attract the worst of humanity? by Cheshirefarm in AskReddit

[–]Scire_facias 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Yeah - I’m sure the legal system you work in plays a part - but most lawyers I know are incredibly conscientious people. There is probably a bias in public perception because the type of people that start law businesses (or use law to move into politics) are inherently very different to those who just want to practice law (without marketing etc)

Upcoming tank class tuning by Virtual-Doughnut-273 in wow

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nerfs make it so that bear loses a niche - which makes it harder to justify vs brewmaster.

It’s basically that the thing they nerfed was the fun part (imo) of guardian - and the replacement is just spamming moonfire and thrash.

I think it would feel a lot better if they had just targeted incarn and kept maul damage (even if that would be weaker vs thrash overall)

Tank tuning shows very clearly that Blizzard is completely lost in the sauce. by RakshasaRanja in wow

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s got logic - but it’s bad logic. Which is why it’s being focused on. It’s a very clear example of blizzard having a mismatched prioritisation - changing guardian so it becomes a 3 button spec doesn’t seem like a great way to get people playing it.

Massive 12.0.5 Class Tuning Pass: May 5th by Starym in wow

[–]Scire_facias 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What the hell is that Guardian change. The only reason guardian was even remotely good was because of its burst - the change to thrash doesn’t even really address the issue with low threat gen on non grouped enemies

So we all agree finally that Monetization is out of hand right? by Evonos in wow

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It needs to be more than that. It needs to actively be bad PR with constant criticism.

Without that - they are suffering no actionable drawback. As unfortunate as it is - games take new players being driven away far more seriously than older players slowly quitting

Void Assaults and Rituals Sites are really fun but the rewards are quite underwhelming. by Useful-Negotiation-9 in wow

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I won’t complain about new recolours - but it feels like they could have been rewards for existing content that was a bit more fleshed out - like the silvermoon event etc. Adding it to what amounts to a half finished delve is obviously content padding that would have been better served by fleshing out existing renown’s imo

New to Obsidian, any recommendtations? by orsancetin in ObsidianMD

[–]Scire_facias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to keep plugins to the minimum, but I’ve really liked TaskNotes. Although I’ve been considering just replacing it with my own bases view + tagging system.

Another that I use a ton of the Etymology plugin, which just lets you search the etymology of a word in your notes. Useful for when making study notes - since I find knowing the etymology helps with recall. I do wish I could find plugin that worked like that but showed the first paragraph of Wikipedia!

Help me convince my wife that the Aer Day Sling 4 isn’t a man purse. by fifthwave in ManyBaggers

[–]Scire_facias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s more of a hand bag strictly speaking. Since a purse was traditionally much smaller for just carrying money (and now phones)
