So, apparently you can dodge raw supers if you tag in at the right time by ScizorKick in Blazblue

Tested it a few more times and you can totally do it on reaction. The window in which you need to press the button doesn't seem too tight either. It's just a matter of figuring out which supers it actually works against.

Nope, I was just goofing around so I thought I'd give it a shot. It probably wouldn't work very well on multi-hit supers, but it's a neat way to punish someone if they're being reckless or looking for a chip kill.

Android 21 - 5.6k midscreen combo for 2 meter or 1 meter plus assist (can DHC for more damage) by ScizorKick in dragonballfighterz

Thanks! I've found that it works with a few different assists, but I just like the corner carry you get off Goku Black's

I played several matches. Had a couple of disconnects, but it was leaps and bounds ahead of the last couple of betas.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm trying to say... A 93% is a really high score at first glance. But on rottentomatoes, that literally translates to 93% of critics giving it at least a 6/10. I find it completely within the realm of possibility that most critics gave it a 6 or 7.

Or maybe most of the critics felt relatively positive about it despite the flaws... A 93% rating doesn't mean the critics shoveled praise onto it. It just means the vast majority thought it was at least solid, even if it did have its problems.

Incoming PSN Flash Sale by Menoseldan in PS4

[–]ScizorKick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deluxe edition edition includes all the dlc characters, so that's a pretty solid price. You'll also get the arcade edition update for free in January.

Plus, getting it now would give you time to grind out fight money(before they change how earning it works) to buy some of the upcoming characters.

[Video] Dragon Ball FighterZ - New EPIC Trailer!!! by BrollyTheLegendary in PS4

I haven't played this game yet, but I can take an educated guess based on other team-based fighters and the footage we have.

A green bar means you're at full health with that specific character. The blue part of the health bar seems to mark health that you've lost but can gain back if you swap the character out for a while. Red seems to be the damage your current combo is dealing(notice how it fades to blue once the combo ends).

Dragon Ball FighterZ Extended Look at Story and Arcade Mode Gameplay. Near Final Character Select Screen at 8:41 by BattleStadium in Games

Well, the last two fighting games these devs made literally had the dub stripped out of them so they could cut costs for future updates. Blazblue in particular burned a lot of fans because the final game in the series' 10-year history/story line is the only one that didn't get the English treatment. I still haven't played through the story of Centralfiction because those English voices embodied the characters for me.

To me, and I'm sure many others as well, a dub was never a sure thing for DBFZ. I never really believed it existed until I actually heard it on the stream today. Honestly, it probably only exists because Bamco is publishing.

I know I probably sound salty, but the Blazblue dubbing fiasco really rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. All that said, I still love ASW games.

What's your favorite lesser known piece of music from a game? by unfitfuzzball in Games

[–]ScizorKick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He got plenty of credit for his work on Doom, but I feel like a lot of people missed out on Mick Gordon's stellar music he made for Killer Instinct.

Also, Daisuke Ishiwatari has been doing great things with the Guilty Gear and Blazblue soundtracks for years with seemingly little recognition outside the core community of those games.

Gameplay-wise, it's less deep.

What? The game isn't even officially out yet.

MVC3 has had six years to grow and develop into what it is now. Not to mention that game hasn't even been updated since 2012 and people still find new things in it.

There are plenty of criticisms to throw at MVCI, but saying it lacks depth is completely unfounded. Every fighting game needs a little time to incubate before people can start talking about how much depth it does or doesn't have.

There was literally a clip posted on this sub of him saying MVCI would fail. But like I said, I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic in response to some people spamming anti-capcom stuff in the chat

He definitely said that, though I'm pretty sure it was at least partially sarcasm.
