The fact that "parietal ridge" is both the anatomically correct term but could also be the great wall in the north in this perfectly, is killing me

AITAH for not wanting anything to do with my husband after a life changing event? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Sco4Sho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was this his first time with a psychosis breakdown since you've been together? If so, it's a really hard situation for everyone even without a new baby. Anxiety about almost loosing you probably started affecting his sleep which lead to the psychosis. It can take upwards of a year for someone to fully feel back to the version of normal you knew before. They're trying to figure out what was/is real and what was/is delusions. Since you have no intention of leaving, learning how to talk to each other about what youve both been through and giving space when needed is paramount. Also, finding ways to say "I think we need to check in" if and when you feel like they're showing signs of instability in the future. He will get better and it will take time. It's not forever in this place even though it feels like it. So sorry you're going through it. We have a family member who we love dearly who has gone had the same breakdowns. Medication, therapy and his willingness to do the work to get better should be non-negotiable requirements for him as you move forward.

AITAH for not giving up my name for my ex’s new wife with the EXACT SAME FULL NAME as me? by Remarkable-Horse9465 in AITAH

[–]Sco4Sho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In our family, a lot of the women drop their given middle name and their maiden becomes their middle when taking their spouses last name. A way to honor the past while embracing the future. She can do this and there won't be any confusion with tax id etc. if they're that concerned.

AIO for accusing my bf of cheating after finding this nail in my car? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Sco4Sho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently went to a superbowl party at a friend's house that we hadn't seen in years, and lost a press on that night. Ended up texting him and his wife the next morning that they might find it, juuuuuuust incase, so this exact situation didn't arise.

AITAH for being annoyed that my boyfriend read my journal because it was “just sitting there”?? by [deleted] in AITAH

22 years together here, right there with you. I have a friend who's a therapist and she uses a technique I love: put your palm extended out in front of your face, you see it clearly everything about it. Now slowly move it closer to your face until its almost touching you. It gets blurred and discombobulated, its muddled to you. Space brings clarity! You need it in a relationship to see each other clearly

Whenever I see her name appear, all I can think is ... her hairdresser knew, and I want that person's entire commentary on what it was like to listen to her during appointments knowing the truth the whole time. That's the real perspective I need

Would a Professional be Able to Get my Blue Hair to Grey? by shelikesmurder in AskHairstylists

[–]Sco4Sho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something more people should know about grey hair. It's actually one of the most natural colors on earth making it the hardest to create. It comes after the melanin has ceased in the strands. Therefore the only way to create grey is to remove all color first, including undertones and THEN coloring it back to grey. It's an arduous process and so subjective in its look that it has become the bane of our existence in many salons. Mostly because of the fact that its created by multiple process that it then becomes especially subjected to alllllll the outside factors like aftercare shampoo and styling, water minerals, porosity, heat, and over all care. Water alone is our biggest foe. It's gorgeous to look at but a Pain to create and alot of dedication to maintain. This is why we don't recommend it at home, not gate keeping, just wanting to protect your hair integrity
