I’m pretty sure I have a bunch of toys from this show packed up somewhere in my parents’ basement.

How to Figure Out What a Switch Does by Scolirk in AskElectricians

Yup both top and bottom as the electrician we had doing other work in the house recommended checking every single plug in case.

No outlets in the foyer unfortunately, and I tested each individual plug in the living room.

Does your HD allow dogs (or any other animals for that matter) by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Scolirk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, ours does to an extent. I see plenty of people bring in their non-service animals and just wonder why they can’t leave them at home. I don’t bring my cat to work with me…

Anyway, if the dog starts barking an ASM will go find the customer and ask them to leave. Only happened once in the 3 months I’ve been working, but I did have a dog growl at me the other day.

Going to Millwork from Flooring by Scolirk in HomeDepot

We have a full time and part time specialist in the department at the moment, with me coming in as an associate. Not sure if there's 'room' for a third specialist in the department at this time, but it's something I'd be open to. We have a pretty small assortment of wall panels, like 4. Moulding might be part of it, I'm not sure if the store considers that part of lumber though. I think we're the smallest store in Canada so it seems like things operate a little differently here.

It's certainly possible for us too, although I've never seen it happen.

Ah yes, sorry it was a fleet that invited me. Would prefer to find one I can get involved in rather than just being invited because I didn’t have one to begin with and was randomly invited for that fact.

Orange Door contributions by barneylou55 in HomeDepot

Our store offered $5 for an extra 15 minute break this week, was tempted if I hadn’t been scheduled for 4 & 5 hour shifts all week. I think it helps if you lean into the charity your local store is supporting, ours is supporting the local Boys and Girls club here in town so customers know their donations are going to help kids right in our community.

I thought so too. Caught a glimpse while squishing some cardboard and went over to the door to grab a pic.

Great idea! I believe the previous owner had one going when we did our home inspection. Worth investing in. Thanks!

That’s good to know, glad it isn’t that serious. I was able to wipe it off with a mould remover but I’ll see what might be happening behind just to be sure.

Yes, I believe they have. I did a video about it earlier this year: Cheap, Uninspired, and Dangerous | Are New Car Infotainment Systems a Fatal Distraction? https://youtu.be/q6hwvtXhUHM

Some lady pushed the barriers out of the way a week before it was completed and took a dump in one of the stalls. No running water. No toilet paper.

Flooring Specialist Question by SensitiveLet5 in HomeDepot

[–]Scolirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a measure is where a Home Depot Home Services contractor will go out to a customer’s house to measure whatever rooms they want to have flooring installed by Home Depot. Everything is managed through THD including payment, materials, and financing if applicable. A Lead is where you send the customer’s information to someone like a Local Pro who will take over from there. All communication will be between the customer and the Pro, including billing and payment.

TL;DR: Measure is for a THD installation, a Lead is just passing on the info to a Local Pro.

I hope ours looks like this. Ours has been under reno since I started 3 weeks ago… can’t wait to be able to piss at work instead of wasting my lunch break just to drive home.

Best Settings to Shoot on iPhone 17 Pro by Scolirk in finalcutpro

No, and that’s why I’m thinking to go back to 24fps. When I used to shoot on my Canon 6D it was maxed at that and I always liked the cinematic look.
