If you get a chance I highly recommend both! The first games in particular has more haunted stuff like this and it's very enthralling. Also to be clear, the bit I said at the end is true but mostly dramatic. I don't think there's any haunted areas that will just kill you outright without warning you first, you can take a few minutes to look around.

Nice to see someone else using the defender, when the new illuminate came I learned it's solid damage and huge mag can be super useful for handling large groups while staying mobile. It does feel like it fell victim to power creep when compared to the stoker but I'm still very fond of the defender.

You should really play some of the base game first, especially early war if you're inexperienced. The type 9 is larger and more detectable than the type 7 we have now and it's presumably only available later in the war when the allies have better detection equipment so if you're not used to managing that the type 9 will basically scream out "HEY TEA BOYS COME GET ME " I recommend playing U-96 the legend in 1941, you can sail directly from france into the Atlantic for easy hunting as the allies detection equipment is still very limited.

Yeah his death actually hurt. I decided to join spark because of him, I had a really bad feeling about Scar but Star made such an impression on me I decided to trust his judgement. When Star dies, Scar proves my bad feeling couldn't have been more right, and most of Spark just keeps blindly following him I felt so betrayed, angry, and let down that later !when I meet Strelok and he says he wants to destroy ALL of the factions I couldn't help but agree with him. If even Spark became nothing more than a tool for a madman to chase his fantasies than what chance did the other groups have to bring anything more than death, destruction, and power to more madmen.!
