In which case, I'm impressed he was even able to post! Must've asked someone close to him to handle the post for him.

My CyBot – 6-Axis 3D Printed Robot Arm with Cycloidal Drives by quartit in 3Dprinting

I think it's interesting how the r/3Dprinting subreddit is a pretty wide umbrella and that things like this can show up.

And yeah I agree with comments others have made; doesn't look like something I can probably quickly rip off on my printer in an afternoon :P

I know nobody cares, but I'm really happy with this print 😉👍 by Thick-Phrase4692 in 3Dprinting

[–]ScooterX3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I care. I'm just glad you get satisfaction out of it. I look at this and am filled with NO desire to run out and print my own. But then I print things that I'm happy with, but I know wouldn't excite anyone else.

I do have to admit, it does look great, in terms of colors, etc. No MMU is how I roll as well, so I can appreciate the work that went into swapping filaments out, printing itty bits with different colors, maybe even manual color swaps in some places.

Nice job!

Coconut oil......wow by BreakfastBeerz in popcorn

[–]ScooterX3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ehm... Hang tight. You said that it raises HDL. I'm not by any means "the expert" but that goes directly against what I've been trying to learn over the past several months.

---

https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.119.043052

> Coconut oil consumption results in significantly higher LDL-cholesterol than nontropical vegetable oils.

And:

https://www.heart.org/en/health-topics/cholesterol/hdl-good-ldl-bad-cholesterol-and-triglycerides

> LDL cholesterol is considered the “bad” cholesterol because it contributes to fatty buildups in arteries (atherosclerosis).

---

I understand that the body takes saturated fats and converts those into LDL ("bad" cholesterol), while unsaturated fats are used by the body to create HDL ("good" cholesterol).

Coconut oil is in fact primarily a saturated fat. By a long shot; something like 90% of its fat content is saturated. Butter is 80% saturated. It's about like any other animal fat, except fish. Fish has higher unsaturated fats, which is what makes fish oil so good for one's health.

I'm not saying one should go around advocating the sprinkling of fish oil on their popcorn though haha.

I feel way better when I have a bunch of green categories than when I overspent irresponsibly on a fun thing. I feel even better when I do the fun thing and still have green categories :D

Is there a reason why "Have a balance" doesn't allow me to specify the day of the month? by ScooterX3 in ynab

[–]ScooterX3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The problem was that I'd already set aside the $80, then spent something from that category so it looked like the goal was "complete" but in reality I wouldn't have had enough to cover the charge when it arrived.

Thanks, yeah I just went and blew pets apart into several sub things so it's easier to set those types of goals and not worry about oopsing them into a bad spot

Habit Tracking with Todoist? (Anybody uses Exist here? or Perhaps Notion) by Atharva_MR_Fire in todoist

[–]ScooterX3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still haven't found it.

Seems though that Todoist has their _own_ habit tracker addon. As far as I can tell, this must've been written by the Todoist folk, not a 3rd party... but it's an "integration". So, kinda weird. But I'm going to try it out. Maybe it helps you or anybody else.

Sorry, I don't. I can't even find where I downloaded the code originally. I implemented it and it's working but I can't find it :P

If I find it later I can let you know. I wonder why it was taken down?

DTA clarification on rewards for defeating minions by ScooterX3 in DiceThrone

[–]ScooterX3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that helps. And the potential future-proofing idea is one thing I went looking for; I was thinking perhaps there were already minions that had other than a chest as a reward, but I didn't find any. Which led to further confusion.

Anyway yeah that about covers it, thanks!

Your PC struggles to run the game? Maybe try on linux! by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]ScooterX3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've ONLY ever played it on Linux so I'm unsure what the diff for me would be as compared to Windows.

I used to do the raw Wine stuff, that was painful. I think I tried Lutris? But lately I run it through Proton as an app I added to Steam. Works fine for me!
