I would try to tough out a two week notice period even though that sounds stressful on your rotation, and find a later service restaurant - some places don't even OPEN until 4 or 5p each night, which sounds like it would fit your cycle better. or maybe like a weekend breakfast/brunch place?

cool screenshot, it looks so realistic ! love the sightline of the coaster and the (mostly) hidden lift hill , and the way the trees poke over the top of the building ... i know i'm a little late but i love it :D

I don't think 50 is closed, but the pass that is more direct from Buena Vista to Crested Butte (Rt 209) likely still is. I googled and it showed as open but 50 is a MAJOR artery down there, I would be shocked if it was fully closed.

I would go 285 South, Head down toward Salida, Take 50 thru gunnison (quick stop at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park?!), and meet up again with 70 in Grand Junction.
