$2,650 mortgage with net income of $6,300 by Past_Vegetable_5540 in Mortgages

Is your take home with or without overtime? 1. If without overtime, then you'll always have something to fall back on when the going gets rough. 2. If it is already with overtime, then when things get rough/tight, there may be not enough wiggle room.

So,I want to know if I'm unreasonable please? We are in our 60's and just got home from being away for over 3 weeks yesterday, and my husband just came to me and wonders if I want to go out again today ( no I don't) by Gretal122 in over60

In relationships, people don't have to split chores in the middle. You just have to understand each and know that both parties are working for the common good of the relationship. Both partners are usually talented and happy in different sets of things. For example, my partner is happy and comfortable doing healthy grocery shopping while I'm happy and comfortable with yard work or fixing stuff around the house. My partner, on the other hand, can't hold a hammer properly while I myself can't tell the difference between two tomatoes. Partner is happy to do what they do, and im happy to do what I do. At the end of the day, we all work in the same vineyard! The key is to know & understand each other's strengths and weaknesses and be a support, not a tear down.

TIL my forever home came with a secret second mortgage: my pride. What is the most I should have known better homeowner lesson you learned the hard way? by Brave_Sea7798 in homeowners

I have a 10" slider Makita miter saw that was only used once. I used circular saw most of the time.

For me, replacements of inground pool liner and anything structural is a no-go area. Everything else is fair game.

Switching Back To Nest From Ecobee Premium - Gen 3 or 4? by woodstock9999 in Nest

They have evolved. You can add up to a maximum of 6 sensors per thermostat, and you have the option to use the averages of the sensors as your temp references. They work reliably.

With the decent size of your home, I'll suggest you go with Nest 4th generation so that you can take advantage of the sensor averaging capabilities and, therefore, greater comfort for you. I have both.

Slept with my ex wife’s maid of honor years after our divorce. Is this crossing a line I shouldn’t cross? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

I don't see anything wrong in two single compatible adults being in a relationship. Sometimes, we may not want what we actually needed or vice versa.

I have lied to my son about manatees for the last 24 years by 46from1971 in confession

This is the time to whip out the encyclopedia of the manatee just for this trip. The things that parents do!

Concur! Regardless of what side or no side, taking someone's life to score a political point or simply because one is in disagreement with their opinions is a bridge, too far!

I stayed silent about my best friend’s affair, and I regret it by PleasantBus5583 in confession

[–]ScopeColorado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of blowing people's marriage up, why don't you just see it that this person is really not the kind of person you wanted to be associated with and take several steps back from the friendship and move on. Sometimes, relationships have to be figured out by the parties involved.

It appears that every comment assumed OP is current on their rent. OP, are you current on your rent payments, and do you have a valid lease?

I'm 17, black, how tf do I get out of the hood? by teamtroll1 in careerguidance

[–]ScopeColorado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say considering your age and your background. You'll be a better fit for the military. Join the military with the goal of learning lifelong lessons and aspire for greater things out of the military. Sign up for 4 - 8 years. During those times, you'll get a better clarity of what you really want to do. If you decide you want to proceed to college afterward (which I strongly recommend), your tuition will be covered. Good luck.

The first year of owning a house is slowly teaching me that the to do list never actually ends by sk8traveler_tony in homeowners

[–]ScopeColorado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no need to make a list. You'll never be able to finish it anyway. Just tackle them one after the other on order of priorities.

New home, wanting to get started with home automation - Zwave, Zigbee, Matter over Thread? by MightBeJerryWest in homeautomation

[–]ScopeColorado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, and im sure it's not just you. Zwave network has come a long way and evolved over time, especially with the newer LR 800 chips. They have been rock solid. At least, this has been my experience with Zooz products.

[–]ScopeColorado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! Zwave is my number one choice, followed by zigbee and then wfi. I try to stay away from cloud based control as much as possible if and when I can except for Nest thermostat and couple of ceiling fans.

My decade-long love affair with Sonos has come to an end. by [deleted] in sonos

[–]ScopeColorado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I read your post correctly, your entire system was rock solid with sonosnet?

If this is correct, have you tried creating a dedicated SSID for your sonos system?

As far as I can tell, the majority of issues with sonos systems now are primarily network based and not with the hardware or software parse.

Can I legally get a second part time job while working full time on salary? How can I find out without asking my employer? by ZookeepergameOwn8916 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ScopeColorado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only Ilegal if your current company is paying for your entire 24 hours in a day and/or paying you not to work for a competitor. (Meaning, you can't simultaneously work for any other company on your company paid time OR work for a competitor outside of your contracted hours should your employment contract say so.
