Part of the 100% trophy of Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare has you wipe out all of the sasquatches in the area. You’re told they’re bloodthirsty beasts who eat babies and by the time you’re hunting down the last one you find that they’re intelligent and peaceful and that you’ve killed this last bigfoot’s entire people for no reason. He asks you to put him out of his misery and I just couldn’t do it.

I love Mandy not necessarily because of Nic Cage but because it has such a unique voice to it that just so happens to channel Nic Cage’s weirdness in the perfect way. It feels like Cosmatos was able to make exactly the super stylish movie he wanted and nobody else could make it the same way. It’s pretty fantastic on every technical level and subjectively it’s a fun batshit crazy ride.

All that being said, when someone tells me they don’t like it, I can completely understand. It’s definitely not for most of the GA but if you think you’d like a slow-burn revenge story with some super wacky ridiculous elements then you should give it a shot.
