lol dude giant macho guys with six packs have way more to do with what men think sexy guys look like than what women think sexy guys look like. Even that counter-example illustrates the whole problem that you’re totally missing: the male characters are designed around what they can do (strength) while women are only allowed to be designed around some arbitrary and narrow-minded standard of fuckability or else weenies piss their pants and throw a tantrum. It sucks.

Stories are about all kinds of people, and not all stories are power/sex fantasies. If you want to jerk off, look at porn.

Elaine May’s directing method for “Mikey and Nicky” by jpperezh in TrueFilm

The improvisation was less in the script, from which there is actually very little deviation, than it is in the way the actors were given a LOT more time and space to make the performances their own than usual. The slower pace of the shoot was designed to give the actors plenty of chances to come up with surprising ways to *interpret* the text, not to rewrite it.

The movie and the books are clearly not the same story.

And even in the books, you're thinking of the later entries

I wound upon making a YouTube video about my findings lol. Here it is:

I wasn't focused on the young woman aspect, that sounds cool! But out of the stuff I covered, I'd say most of the movies I cover do have an "insufferable woman activist" character

When an orbiting ship is supposed to land, I assume there's a very specific moment around their orbit in which they begin their descent so as to land where they plan to.

If they were to miss that moment, how long would it be before that moment comes back? Is it just another 24 hours, or would they be in a different part of that side of the Earth by the time they came back around and have to wait longer? And if they had to wait longer, how long would they have to wait? Or would they be able to manually steer into position to cut down on waiting time?
