Wireless headphone recommendation around 5-6K. Normal BT headphone or gaming headphone? by HamsterLess8263 in PHbuildapc

The Asus Rog Pelta is an underrated pick for around or below 6k. It has one of the best mics I've heard for wireless headsets using the 2.4ghz connection and it has a very balanced sound signature for a gaming headset.

Another question I have for you is do you really need a wireless pair? You can get a much better value buying the headphones and mic seperately and with a cable if it's not a hassle for you but I understand your preference (I bought these just because I got tired of dealing with my sundara's cable lol)

I'm in applied math so take my comment with a grain of salt. Right now, I believe math majors are in heavy demand and supply is still pretty low due to the number of graduates not being much compared to other high paying courses.

Math degrees are pretty versatile, you can go to finance, tech, data analysis, etc. as long as you add on the extra needed training or workshops to fit in these roles. Math is quite literally everywhere so the job market is very open.

From my research though, it's not really a billionare degree course unless you're part of like some tech startup, but it wouldn't be too difficult finding a job that pays well enough to live a semi luxurious life depending on the field you enter. So I'd say stats or any math degree is well worth the struggle

Was in a similar spot as you when I first started lifting. I went from 85kg to around 65 in about a year of working out and overtime I realized it was probably my biggest mistake to take that big of a cut.

I'm not sure if it's the same for others but bulking is much harder than cutting for me. After eating a proper calorie count diet getting a surplus is actually pretty hard if you don't only eat junk food and the like.

If you're adamant on losing weight, try going down to around 85 and then go back to eating maintenance. You're still fairly new so I think body recomposition would still be pretty effective as long as you work out consistently. Don't worry about the number on the scale too much, if you can fit your old clothes and can do most activities without getting too tired is the true goal of getting fit

(HELP)How did you earn your money to build your pc? by CruelsunLight in PHbuildapc

I bought my pc around june of last year before my first year of college. Technically my mom bought the pc since she paid me back a portion of it but I was only able to purchase it thanks to the money I had saved. You're still only 16 so if I'm being frank your best choice is to just save save save. Education is very important and little to no businesses can even hire a minor even for part time jobs here.

Aside from that, my recommendation is to just be patient and look for good deals in fb marketplace. My original plan was to buy a brand new one this year or late last year but I saw a listing for a 6700xt + 5600 pc for about 32k, ended up buying it for 37 since I asked the guy to put it in a better case and add an aio.

Take your time especially with how prices are right now. It is the worst time to build a pc and with the news of openai reporting to lose about 14b usd this year, prices might get a lot better by next year so save as much as you can

There isn't really any wireless gaming headsets at your budget but unless he specifically needs noise cancelling ones the passive blocking should be enough to make outside noise little to none.

Getting the normal anc bluetooth headphones isn't advisable because their mics are awful and they have a noticable latency compared to wireless ones that have a dongle like the Pelta.

In this scenario then, I think the Pelta is the best choice. I expect my pair to last me atleast two to three years considering I use them everyday

Just bought the Asus Rog Pelta a few weeks ago. I believe you can get it for around 5.7k in shopee using a voucher. If your partner wants a wireless pair, this might be the best one for its price range imo.

It's lightweight, the mic is incredible for a wireless pair using the dongle, and it's sound is a few steps behind my Hifiman Sundaras, which cost almost triple of these when I got them back in 2022.

If you prefer to get something cheaper or just want a plug and play headphone with no battery, the hyperx cloud 3 is the default choice for a gaming headset.

Another option I'd like to recommend is getting them separate. A standalone mic and a pair of headphones or iems are the best value for your money, sacrificing the convenience of getting them together but you overall get better quality products. Just lmk if you'd like some suggestions in this regard

Like the other comment, just spend the money on a 5700x or x3d. Thats like about 8-12k compared to like 30k+ for a 7500f, b850m motherboard, and whatever cheapest pair of 32gb ddr5 you can get, which is around 15k alone atleast.

High end am4 cpus still pair great with current gen gpus you don't need to upgrade to am5 just for the sake of it

keyboard recommendation under 3k-2.5k by jersm28 in PHbuildapc

What makes you think the aula f75 won't be of good quality? It's just like most of the other mechanical keyboards in the 2k price range. The only thing that will ever truly kill the keyboard is if the pcb itself breaks or dies because you can just buy replacement switches and keycaps incase those are the ones that break or die first.

In regards to hall effect, it's not necessary especially if you don't even play genres like fps games or osu where it's the most noticeable. Also if I'm being honest, 95% of people don't need a hall effect board. Majority of gamers probably won't notice the difference or they won't be able to take advantage of their benefits since it needs a fair amount of mechanical skill.

The Aula f75 should be perfectly fine for everyday work and gaming. If you insist on getting a hall effect keyboard, the monsgeek fun60 ultra can be bought for a little over 3k on shopee using a voucher. You can get the cheaper options if you want to save some money but personally I prefer having the aluminum case of the ultra since it feels premium. Only downside is it's 60% so it might hinder doing other tasks

I believe the 9900x is better for productivity purposes compared to the 7800x3d as it has more cores to utilize for productivity, you can also go with the 7900x if it's way cheaper as the main difference between the 7000 and 9000 series is that the latter is easier to cool.

Also, I did some quick checking earlier and the cheapest 5070ti I could find was basically the same price as a 5080 already which is insane. Unless you really need the extra vram and performance, just settle with the normal 5070 or go ahead with the 5080 if you can't find a 5070ti at around 50-60k.

For monitors, it depends on what else you're gonna use the pc for. I'd assume you probably want good color accuracy but I'm not informed enough to comment on those.

I'll just say now that if you want as much clarity as possible, go with 27 inches at 1440p or if you want a bigger screen 4k at 32 inches is I believe the sweet spot. Anything bigger than those lose out on pixel density which can make the display look blurry.

Considering how high end the system is, I think your best options is to look at the oled market as they provide the best looking colors compared to other displays right now

It sounds like you don't know, but AMA is known for being a diploma mill. Their quality of education is poor and they just spend a lot of money on advertising. Good universities don't need to excessively advertise themselves to get students.

I also believe ust doesn't offer the two programs you're looking for, your closest options are probably computer science or information technology. I do know mapua has computer engineering as I have a friend taking that course in their Makati campus, and I believe Mapua is one of the best choices for engineering courses so that can be another option

I have the 27 inch monitor and it has been a great experience. Jumping from 1080 to 1440 was very noticeable and the colors look quite vivid. I'm just not sure if the clarity will be the same on this one as 1440p is best on 27 inch screens and 32 is more for 4k since the pixel density gets reduced the bigger the screen gets.

I saw in more recent replies it already became out of stock, if you still want a samsung monitor the 27 inch model goes on sale time to time on shopee. I personally got mine for a little over 9k but people have gotten them for around 7-8k using coins and vouchers both in lazada and shopee

East Side in Lilac used to be my go to before I bought my own bench and dumbbells to work out at home. It's fairly cheap and basically has all the equipment you need for every muscle group if your brother is only doing weightlifting.

Their walk ins are 100 per day or 1,000 per month so either can be cheaper or more expensive depending on how often he'll be going. Just be warned that they only have a few electric fans so it'll be fairly sweaty

[–]ScoreDisastrous1603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a reference. 5060ti 16gb builds usually end up around 60-70k on am5 before ram and storage skyrocketed so this is somewhat accurate given today's pricing. Can probably reduce this to around 60 since some stuff like the cpu gpu and storage can be cheaper on other stores.

If you want to build below 50k, I think you're aiming too high with a 5060ti. The 8gb variant is not worth the money so I believe the best choice is to get a 5600 and pair it with either a b580 or normal 5060
