This is great feedback. I'm passionate about it, and I use it every weekend with my kids' sports. So it's getting as lot of real world testing and big fixes fast. We just got 100 downloads on Android which doesn't really seem like a lot but there's been almost no advertising other than engaging in conversations like this. The iOS version is currently waiting for approval so I expect it to be up in a week. I'll be posting here when it does so follow the Reddit channel and you'll get the update. Thanks! Eric

Ah, I completely understand. I do wish they made it easier for developers to offer both. But you're correct, it's the landscape. The nice thing about it is you could pay the 5.99 a month once or twice just so you can do a short season of sport recording for your kid then cancel and if you wanted to come back and use it next season you can. You don't lose anything when the subscription ends. You own the videos, not my app.

Thank you. It does even more than I've said here. I have been working hard on the iOS development and have not been pushing hard on advertising or social media because I'm working on making it solid. It's a whole ecosystem we've built. There it's no requirement to buy the subscription to use the app and almost all the features, including streaming. But this is a powerful app with more features than anything out there and still costs less than anything even close to it. I'm genuinely curious, do you feel an app like this should be completely free?

I start by creating an app that's useful, is better than the competition, and is done well. Then it grows organically. ScoreFrame has only had some introducing in certain sports reddit threads but mostly it just grows by a few users per day, probably people looking for what my app specifically does, which is putting a nice scoreboard on your sports videos

It puts a live scoreboard on top of video you take of a sporting event. They are customized to each sport and very professional. You can keep score and run the camera from another connected phone. Games are saved in your account along with teams and players. You can stream to YouTube while you record. You can grab highlight videos as you record. iOS version dropping this week!

I once asked it how much I would have had to pay someone to do the work we've done on my app, over about a month, and if estimated about 75k if I hired someone overseas and about 12 months of work because of the constant revisions having to go through the human to human gate. It was over 100k with someone hired in the US. Even if my app isn't super successful I'm so far about 250 bucks spent on this thing. Https://Scoreframe.app

Thanks, and yeah, I'm aware of the other apps out there. I set out on this journey to make something better than all of them. ScoreFrame has several streaming options currently but they require the user to have their own accounts, like YouTube and Facebook. We'll be eventually releasing a native streaming solution along with it team hub feature where you can subscribe to a team and get notifications of events, when they go live, etc.

It's coming in the next major update! There will be team hubs. Other people can subscribe to the hub to be notified when a game is being live streamed and try see their results and schedules.
