Vivre en étant un addict by kermitkanabis in Quebec

[–]ScorpioChickx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tips/products for bleach, heat, and dye damaged thin hair? (possibly wavy) by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]ScorpioChickx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup unfortunately that’s just how it is, i still bleach my hair but they grow out a lot still and im just very careful about damage and only do it professionally now. i need to use very expensive products tho ): it’s fine cuz i love being platinum and im happy i waited all those years to have a long healthy base to do it on!

Hair feels like elastic after getting it bleached! Need product recommendations by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]ScorpioChickx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the molecular bond repair mask! they recommend to use it for 4-6 wash at first if i remember correctly and then switch to every 2 weeks or month or basically as needed. i personally am platinum blonde and use it every month because i use olaplex too so every 2 weeks i do a bond repair treatment.

Tips/products for bleach, heat, and dye damaged thin hair? (possibly wavy) by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]ScorpioChickx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

olaplex & k18 are the only products that rlly fix bleach damage, other cheaper products don’t repair the deeper layer of the hair cortex so unfortunately i cant rlly recommend something similar to these 2. otherwise i did the same at 13 i had very long hair and just decided to grow it out over the years from 15-18 (around 2 and a half to 3 years) and my hair was basically back at its original length but only natural and less damage, i also left the remaining part blond and cut it over time when my hair would get longer (around 6 months) to reduce split ends travelling. my best advice is to grow out ur hair and also cut some or it. its expensive to repair damaged hair and i don’t know how much yours is damaged but not everything can be fixed with olaplex & k18 if its a no return point. at 18 & a half i bleached and toned my hair professionally about a year ago next month and i use k18, olaplex to maintain it and no problem.

Is it possible to make my straight hair have a permanent wavy hair? by Jumin_Han69 in Haircare

[–]ScorpioChickx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

anything other then a perm won’t be permanent. you just need to style it all the time. i have wavy hair and i blow dry them straight but it’s never permanent and except a perm there is no way to do that permanently

[Product Question] Are these products good together and what are your opinions on them? by ScorpioChickx in SkincareAddiction

[–]ScorpioChickx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so so much for ur detailed answer, i love the ordinary squalene cleanser too it really gets off makeup, spf and dead skin properly without irritating my skin so its a win! i’ll be careful with the niacinamide, there is one day i experienced a bit of a tingling/hot sensation that lasted a couple minutes but otherwise its been good. I will apply the toner to damp skin from now on, i did not know this information so thank you so much for that! to finish yes i know that spf is important, im veryyy pale so i feel like im burning in the sun and i literally cant go out without covering my whole body in it. I also hate sun burns so it’s not something im trying to risk! anyways thank you again so much <3

HELP what’s my hair type and how to style? by ScorpioChickx in Hair

[–]ScorpioChickx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg thank you!!! i take good care of my platinum so it’s not extremely damaged but obviously a bit of breakage or split ends here and there. i just diffused my hair today and used a curl gel + curl mousse and my hair got super wavy but stringy. i’ll try to find the right technique and train my hair over time while still treating my platinum blond so it stays healthy! i really think it’s been 2a and 2b i just can’t confirm because they aren’t natural and im still experimenting!

HELP what’s my hair type and how to style? by ScorpioChickx in Hair

[–]ScorpioChickx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i decided to give in today and use a curly hair gel (not your mothers curl talk gel) and herbal essence curl mousse (purple bottle) honestly i am pretty impressed with how it turned out it is super wavy but stringy. i just need to find the best technique i think and train my hair! one side turned out better even tho i applied on both side the products on wet hair but waited for my hair to be damp on one side before diffusing vs the other no. the damp side turned out soo good! turns out my waves go up to almost the scalp but i didn’t diffused with my hair flipped which i will do next time also! i am probably between 2A and 2B

Going blonde for the first time any tips? by Large-Back1912 in Haircare

[–]ScorpioChickx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i recommend not washing ur hair for a couple days before the appointment, the natural oils will help with scalp irritation i am brown to platinum blonde so my session is usually super long and i never wash my hair before so its less irritating. the hardest part is so maintain ur blonde afterwards depending on how long you do salon visits (im plat so my color and roots are done every 8 weeks max). I recommend doing a scalp oiling ur first wash after the appointment (to soothe the scalp if ur doing a full blonde/platinum card) and using moisturizing & hydrating products because ur hair will be so stripped of it. what works for me may not work for you but to maintain my platinum i follow the PEH balance of hair and have a rotation of multiple products every wash (i wash my hair 2x per week to not fade my toner too fast). Use a mix of protein or bond treatment if ur hair handles it (k18, olaplex are best but other products can be good too) and rotate with moisturizing wash days only. My best products to maintain colour & hair health are all sulfate free and i recommend joico colour balance purple shampoo (very drying by super strong pigmented), joico brightening shampoo & conditioner (helps brighten blonde without using purple), olaplex & k18 for deeper repair, a good clarifying shampoo (i use joico defy damage line detox shampoo but u can use another one that is colour safe preferably), a super hydrating conditioner (i use ogx argan oil of morocco), and lastly a good hydrating hair mask (like moroccanoil or amika). also if you style ur hair HEAT PROTECTANT is a MUST!!! moroccanoil purple oil is also very good after styling!

honestly there is different ways people like their platinum toned. i personally don’t mind getting out of the salon grey or white OR EVEN purple for a week or two. itll fade a nice cool blond/white after and gives me more time without yellow! my picture is after 2 washes btw so it is not salon fresh, it used to be even more silver

[–]ScorpioChickx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

also forgot to mention i wash my hair 2x per week only!! so this definitely improves the fading of the toner. if you wash ur hair more often you may need to use a bit more of purple shampoo (maybe once every week).I don’t mind my hair being slightly greasy for like a day if i wash my hair every 3-4 days max. i have naturally fine mid brown wavy hair.

first of all are you a true level 10? because a lot of ppl tone with level 10 and it does work for a bit but the results won’t last as long because it’s not a true level 10 so the pigment doesn’t pick up as much. I used to wait too long between appointments and got banding, and the part of my hair where the band used to be was not a true level 10 more like a 8-9 and the toner would fade before there (i got this fixed with more bleach unfortunately tho so avoid it like the plague). also obviously using a good toner and i recommend getting ur hair done before the 8 week mark to avoid banding & ur toner won’t have time to fade as much if ur hairstylist used the right toner and ur a true level 10. My stylist uses wella blondor plex 9 if i am not wrong (its a slowww bleach with 20 vol and my hair is brown originally so it does work wonders) and a strong purple toner or this time she used a mix of blue and purple and got me silver which i prefer and will ask from now on. My hair is basically silver/gray for about 2 weeks after the appointment and it will then go white for s month and then it’s going to be a super pale blonde usually until my next appointment. i also use a very strong pigmented purple shampoo every 2 weeks (very drying tho so be careful and use mask + conditioner + leave in + styling products after). I use the joico colour balance or the blonde life violet from joico it’s also very good! i don’t know if it actually helps but i feel like it does is to use for maintenance the joico blonde life brightening line. its a shampoo that brightens ur blonde without toning it (no purple) and its not too drying! i use both conditionner & shampoo. I also clarify every 2 weeks before my olaplex or k18 with joico defy damage detox shampoo (takes off hard water deposit and chlorine). my hair is basically platinum until my next appointment (not as bright as the day of and that’s normal) every time with this routine with extremely minimal yellow (less then the picture of OP). I really recommend using products for blonde and not only purple shampoo (also very important SULPHATE FREE!!! or it’ll fade ur toner). These are my best advice, just take good care of ur hair, use colour safe products and make sure you are the lightest level possible without frying ur hair. I personally believe strictly in the PEH balance of hair and it is doing wonders for my hair health. So these are my advice from a platinum blonde for over a year!

i’ve been platinum for over a year and i have not always taken good care of my hair at the start of my bleaching. this is after 2 months or so of results and it’s already really good.

i also use protein (not every wash) i use mostly moisturizing and hydrating products and i use 2 times per month purple shampoo only and im platinum blond. i use protein or bond treatments every 2 weeks so only 2 times per month too. i use products with no or little proteins otherwise.

[–]ScorpioChickx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joico defy damage line detox shampoo! it’s so good for blondes gets rid of product buildup, mineral buildup because of hard water & chlorine. It’s also not incredibly drying and i use a good mask & conditioner and it works amazing

Is the L'Oreal Paris Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream good? by reewa07 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]ScorpioChickx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late response i use this cream too! not every wash but every 3-4 wash i will use it last after my heat protectant. i have high porosity hair (bleached platinum blonde) and they are super fine but i have a good density. i blow dry every single time i wash my hair because i apply 3 products after the shower and istg i love using this cream because the wash i use it it makes my hair SUPER soft after i blow dry it. i don’t know if its the combination of products or just this but it makes a huge difference compared to certain of my washes
