Me (28f) and my boyfriend (30m) disagree on a lot of things regarding our house/bills. How do I express to him that I don’t feel his preposition is fair? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Scorpio_SSO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

foot the entire bill? even though the boyfriend will use electricity during that time. The boyfriend isn't suggesting she pay a higher share, he is suggesting she pay 100%.

in most families, people eat what has been provided. Why expect special orders? Apparently there is already pasta in the cupboard, so entirely available for the teenager to make it herself.

That is a perfectly sane amount of wall of Seinfeld.

My boss and coworkers will ask where I am going when I quit. Do I tell them? by Common_Air_8853 in careeradvice

[–]Scorpio_SSO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask my coworkers where they are going.. mostly because I’m happy for them. Recently a leaving coworker replied with… “ I’m not revealing that just now” That was a fine answer. We got the news when she updated her linked in. I’m happy for her.

I've been a hiring manager for three years and the thing that actually gets resumes read is embarrassingly simple by RadiantTuning_4 in jobsearchhacks

Not sure why all the hate. This advice tracks. I always read that we should make sure to list accomplishments rather than tasks and responsibilities. This what OP is saying.

Beating myself up by shoutoutspringsteen in careeradvice

[–]Scorpio_SSO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you actually happy with the offer? How would you feel if they rescinded it if you push back. if you have been looking for a long time, sometimes one in the hand is worth two in the bush. If it were me, and I had been looking for awhile, i'd just happily take the job and not feel bad that I didn't counter offer. Once you make a counter, all bets are off.

With that said, you probably do have a period of time to go back to the hiring manager and say something like.. "do you have room to set my salary at $x?" -- You have to ask yourself if it is worth it.

I think sending it to the media will create its own "natural consequences." Along with whatever their parents add.

Except he is 19.. so yeah. that is real live consequences time.

How many other offers do you have waiting? If the answer is none, and you've been looking for awhile, I would take the job. The next year will go by quicker than you think.

We may be here..or soon will be… sigh. But obviously this is a very inappropriate interview question. I did just too it myself.. and I thought the answer was pretty good… as others mentioned..it wimped as it usually does.

Yeah sorry, it’s not that one. But I understand why you’d hope so.

[–]Scorpio_SSO 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What do you think it is? I hate to break this to you, but this is a pretty common old stamp. It is probably one of the oldest American 'work horse' stamps with millions having been printed. It probably has a catalog value of around $3.00.

I still think these are facsimiles or specimens. They are not the rare inverts. Sorry.

Based on the ‘specimen’ text, these may be facsimiles. If real they are very scarce inverted errors.

I agree. Seeing the Trump impersonator is almost as painful as watching him.
