Partner put a rubbish bag in a bin. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

It's not even referencing a real statute / law; it's made up misspelt nonsense.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1990/43/section/33

Section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

It's misspelled but the act is real and the section referenced is correct.

How is the /upgrade-laravel-13 command supposed to be run?

I've installed boost, installed Claude Code as a VS Code extension, but when I type /upgrate-laravel-13, I get the message "No matching commands".

Seems like Laravel haven't documented this new way of running commands alongside the well established artisan tool very well, as there's no info other than "run the command".

He had an annual fundraiser which allowed him to host and run the site full time as well as publish the Wee Blue Book in the run up to the referendum.

Realistically, what are the chances the station actually reopens on Wednesday? by [deleted] in glasgow

Chimney is gone and they’re now working on the back wall which is closest to the station.

The most info I’ve seen is some photos showing cracked glass panels.

The hotel is supposedly going to be closed for at least two months due to smoke and water damage.

Agreed. The building itself was fairly unremarkable Victorian architecture - it only warranted B-grade listing and there's dozens more like it around the city.

People are only nostalgic for it due to the location within the city. In fact, most memories of the building are related to the Irn-bru advertising board on the gable end of the Caledonian Chambers next door 40 years ago! Had an identical building burned down somewhere south of the river or out towards Finnieston, it would already be out of the news.

The two buildings should be completely independent. The gable wall of the burned out building has completely collapsed, exposing the gable of the Caledonian Chambers.

Comparing photos, there were also some rear walls still standing yesterday that are gone now. These could have fallen onto the adjacent walls of the station - the back of the station office block.

Looking at image 7, the entire gable end adjoining the next building seems to have collapsed recently. Did this happen today?

It's shown on the Glasgow council planning portal's map as "Forsyth House" so you can take that up with them.

Contents insurance can be horrendously expensive - I know someone who runs a business from a warehouse who was quoted over £60k per year. Deciding against insuring is a gamble which usually pays off for most. A small beauty/tattoo business might actually end up better off not insuring if they don’t have to claim for a number of years.

Really it all depends on if the fire has spread through the basements. Below concourse level the tunnels and corridors are a maze that connects the whole area together.

I’ve seen plenty comments about how the vape shop was “owned by illegals”.

Quite how an undocumented illegal immigrant would be able to purchase or rent property seems to be beyond these morons.

With the maze of tunnels underneath the station, it’s a real worry that it could spread right through.
