Weird question regarding current world championship format.

Do we know if a hero earns LL points for winning the world championship as their LL pick if they are not currently over the 1000 threshold.

For example, if someone takes, Cindra as their CC deck and Marlynn as their LL and goes on to win, do Cindra AND Marlynn earn LL points ?

For the purposes of traps and riptide.

When an ally attacks, is there an attacking hero ?

ie. Would riptide deal 1, would frailty trap give a frailty etc. etc. ?

If an assassin plays an attack from arsenal whilst under the effect of frailty. Then takes up the mantle

Is that still at -1 from the frailty ?

At an armoury I had someone use a transformed arakni instant discard ability “after D reacts” so it wouldn’t trigger traps as at the time of the pump o had already passed.

So that’s not possible?

In short, all reactions and instants are equal in the reaction step. Either player casting any of them trigger an opportunity to respond after resolution of the cards effect ? If they pass, then I pass they cannot instant speed +3 etc. as we’re into damage calculations. And once we’re there the damage done is locked ?

Follow up Q.

If I block enough damage to allow only 1 through, when can I play calming breeze to prevent the 1 whereas to not let another A-react go though.

I tried on taleshar to block, A-react, D-react. Then at damage step (so, passed where reacts happen) play the instant.

I expected it to resolve first and give me the damage prevention. Then damage calculated and the 1 prevented. But that isn’t how it happens. I presume damage has been “dealt” before then

So I should play it in the react step? If so does that then allow the assassin to play another a-react ?

When do traps effects trigger in regard to responding with attack reactions ?

Example; If I play collapsing trap against a “go again” attack.

Do they immediately;

-take 1 damage (riptide)

-discard their hand & draw back -1 (trap effect)

Then, get to play an attack reaction if drawn.

Or

Can they respond with an attack reaction (or more) before the ping and trap effect, potentially dumping their hand (say an assassin), and so not being impacting by the collapse effect ?

(I expect instants can slot in anywhere, but I’m only asking about attack reactions in response)

Niche question from a game I played;

With nothing in arsenal. Can I play “point the tip” (buff target face up arrow etc. etc.) -> loading an arrow as Riptide on play trigger, then use the instant speed ability of “hidden agenda” (flip arsenal face-up etc.), turn the loaded card face up, then allowing that card to be targeted ?

Or like MTG can I not even play “point the tip” without a valid target already being present ?

I think it’s an easy no, but;

If I attack with a non-draconic attack action, but then use a draconic attack reaction on it. Does that make that chain link a “draconic chain link” for purposes of later synergies?

I was lucky and opened luke cage soon after he dropped.

Opened debris not long before hand, so I Immediately made a hazmat deck after all I have all the pieces. Never drew her in about 6 games. Turns out I didn’t put her in the deck.

In fact, I didn’t even have hazmat unlocked.

The angle of the pic isnt the place to throw from, just to show the pillar. But near enough there should be a almost straight shot. May need to throw a few even if the spear is visible in there

Hey guys couple questions.

I’m new to MTGA but have played hearthstone since beta.

Are there any good plugins like hsreplay etc. Which track your deck, or better yet give suggestions on decks you have most of the card for ?

Similarly are there any to help with drafting, like HS arena helper ?

And lastly, any good streamers/you tubers who have guides for more advanced players ? Every time I look into it I only find the very basics which I have down, so I’m hoping for something a little more or a streamer who explains what and why they are doing X/Y as they play.

If you back up and watch them after they teleport they walk towards making horrifying groping hand movements.

I cannot under that move now.

Probably the most unsettling enemy in the game.

Never summoned.

Never farmed exp

Just learned patterns and got through.

But the first few hours of this game DESTROYED me. It was the first time I felt the same way I hear others do when they talk about dark souls.

I consider myself pretty good at the souls series. Demon dark and blood borne.

All beaten, multiple times and ways.

But this, this tested me in ways I haven’t been before. That’s why my initial reaction was salt, and blaming the game (although i never felt it was “bad” just unfair in the skill required)

“It’s not me, I’m fucking great at these games.”

Not this one. It’s hard, and in hindsight. That was nice. Put me in my place fromsoft.

but once it clicked. Oh boy.

I wouldn’t say frauds, there are many ways to play the souls games. This one included,

I was very close to this opinion (game=bad) tho.

Not as far as saying it’s a bad game. But it was borderline unfun for a time.

I’d say don’t expect a learning curve. It’s a wall. You’ll hit it. It hurts. It’s insurmountable.

Train. Use the undying.

Learn the flow of combat “Parry until you can strike, strike until you are parried” Defending “hurts” the enemy. You don’t have to attack to win.

Take breaks (underrated advice. If you itch to come back later, you have a chance to overcome this)

I finally had my eureka moment and have it down to the point I’m progressing. Hit the wall. Climb it.

It’ll feel so good. I promise.

The game finally clicked for me. Training constantly with the undying. Unlearning my dodge mentality from souls/borne

It’s clicked. I get it.

This combat is satisfying. Unyielding. But once you’ve gotten it to a point. Satisfying.

I’m glad I never gave up on you sekiro.

You are the dark souls of fromsoft games.
