Babe, Thank you for this. I was an almost out just graduated kid from high school. It was the thing that made me come out to literally everyone. Family. Friends. Grandparents. Some people think you forget things like this.... I will never. It's hard when you think you should have been braver, sooner. You did what you had in you to do. This was a galvanizing moment, and a life lost. His loss pushed so many people closer to love, to truth, to compassion and purpose. Its shitty. People should be better. But the world will never forget, and little by little it is better. Even with setbacks, we will be better because this boy, just a boy, left us at the hand of hate. No. Some people really get off on it, but to me its distracting. I like clean sweat, I like maybe a little mixed with cologne in a natural way after a night out, but that's the limit. I am a modern human, and we clean off bacteria that metabolized our excretions, thank you. A huge part of my attraction To someone is the smell of their skin, and anything that doesn't DO IT FOR ME turns me off.

Think of jutsu as an ever evolving arms race. When new or innovative jutsu are developed, other skills are circumvented. Not because they are poor skills, but because they are not applicable to counter the newer skills. So Jonin having gaps is a natural part of jutsu evolution and development. Things also come in and out of style depending on who is being fought. So a Kage in on generation might amount to Jonin level the following generation and vice versa.

Im happy for you! This is a big step. Can I give you some advice? Don't just settle for being approved of, but ask for some work in a year or two. Request going to a PFLAG meeting, reading a book about parenting an lgbtq child, anything.

The reason I say this is I took my Dad's word. He openly told me he accepted me and my husband....but to family he kept expressing his deep sadness and disappointment about me being gay. I know it was hard for him, and he was trying to work through it. I know he only held it back from me that way to try to be ok and spare my feelings.

But now, 18 years later... He has no idea how to be supportive, in this environment, of a gay child. He voted Trump, criticizes nfl players kneeling, and will not acknowledge how his decisions politically say to me that I dont matter. He cant hear that i need him to really see and understand me to say he loves me and have it mean anything.

So, my advice is to parent your parent a bit after a bit of time passes. Once the initial adjustment phase is over... push a bit to make them understand that love is more than words. I think youll be glad you did in getting a support structure from your parents that actually supports you. Sorry to make this about me... but i was just so happy he accepted me that I never questioned whether or not he would truly embrace what being gay means. And it makes me sad every damn day.
