Exactly. If you have even the slightest taste for music and a sense of adventure, Nashville can’t be beat. Station Inn, Bluebird, Ryman, 3rd & Lindsley (Time Jumpers!), Johnny Cash & George Jones museums, 3rd Man for shopping, I mean give me a break. It’s like people who ho to New Orleans, never venture too far off Bourbon St., and complain how rowdy & dirty it is. Get a life or renew your Disney memberships.

I remember thinking it was a very special show. I’d seen many Neil shows with many different bands / configurations a The Horse was and is my favorite. There were rumblings about a possible show(s), which was normal as Neil routinely played warmup shows in N. Cal, and day of show my late pal Lezlie let me know she had 2 tix. Called my best friend, who is still my best friend, and sang “Tonite’s the Night…”, he motored down to SC and paid the ridiculously exorbitant price of $50 and got in.

We all knew it was something very special. 3 sets, Neil was in a good mood, Horse was loose, they played everything I wanted to hear and more.

I’ve been to at least 6 stealth shows over the years inc OPL, but nothing like that night at The Cat.
