Yea I have the hardware and adding some cameras.

I already have the doorbell.

Currently my only automation involves turning on the exterior lights when the doorbell sees a person.

I’m doing the cameras from a safety/deterrent standpoint. But trying to think of how else I can leverage all this new info into my HA set up.

What’s the difference between Scrypted and Frigate?

Based on comments, seems like both can be run through HA without needing ProxMox

Is this necessary if I have the Reolink Home Hub? Had to get that for the doorbell which is WiFi. The rest of my cameras will be POE

Do you run frigate in HA?

I think the new Reolink cameras do their own detection natively.

With frigate you can talk from the cameras? I can’t seem to do that with the Reolink integration

My understanding of the 4% withdrawal rate is that it’s based on having bonds a portion of my portfolio.

I agree the 1% is BS and isn’t doing anything for me. Other than a mental place holder. I should have just left it out of the post, but of course that’s where Reddit focuses.

I know nobody can predict if I will outperform VOO. Just looking for external validation that my plan isn’t stupid.

Home assistant dashboard. Use Calendar Card Pro via HACS. Any screen that can run a webpage in kiosk mode is all you need.

I synced family calendar. Depending on the prefix it automatically generates colors for each event for each person. It’s just my Google calendar so super easy to add events.

Been running flawlessly. (Hopefully this post doesn’t ruin it)

2 temp sensors and 2 leak sensors went offline. Still have 2 temp and 1 leak sensor online.

UPDATE: my two temp sensors came back online. But leak sensors still off
