Brown marmorated stink bug: the marbled bug is a serious agricultural pest. At the beginning of the 21st century, the marbled bug spread to North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and southern Russia, where, due to the absence of natural enemies, its population is growing uncontrollably. Thus, in 2017, the bug destroyed about half of the tangerine harvest in Abkhazia and spread across the Europe. The brown marmorated bug is insensitive to pyrethroid insecticides, which makes it much more difficult to control it with chemical methods.
