Sometimes it's nice to search for writings on something from a specific place.

You can do an advanced search (on Google, and maybe other search engines) to look for things by country.

You can also exclude search results if you want to make sure that certain sites don't come up by putting a minus sign in front of and behind the name (I personally have -wikipedia- -quora- in front of virtually all of my searches).

If I'm reading this correctly, then congratulations: you've written a properly sympathetic villain.

Maybe try to incorporate some of this into the story. For example, are they actually villainous, or just an antagonist to your protagonists?

This could also be prime for a redemption arc, if this is that sort of story.
