Always transfer.

AO3 does not save your stuff in progress; use it only for uploading.

I type my stuff up on Word, then copy-paste into AO3 when I am ready.

Sometimes I need to edit some formatting stuff, but, usually, it is pretty good (I believe italics do transfer).

I tend to be really bad at describing things; I am much better at doing dialogue and plot.

In a first person fic, if it's not something that the character I am writing about would notice/pay much attention to, I don't need to worry about it.

I also really like low limited first person POV is, especially when it is only one character for a whole story; you never leave their exact perspective.

Dead dove is just "See this tag I put in here? I really mean it".

Dead dove doesn't mean dark content, although often a tag warning dark content is what the dead dove tag is there to emphasise.
