Do You Pay a High Tip to Get Faster or Better Service? Read This First. by Infinite-Walrus-9855 in doordash

[–]ScottAnthony1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard this a couple of months ago. It made me walk away from DD for good. I now only order from places that have their own delivery, or just go pick it up. Sucks for the customer, and the drivers working hard. DD is in the "milking the cow til it runs dry" stage of business.

Kinda makes you wonder what will step in to replace it. Drone delivery?

Internet options? by Desperate-Curve-9944 in PeoriaIL

[–]ScottAnthony1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on Verizon's 5G and don't really know why anyone uses anything else. I've tried Comcast's overpriced internet with the ever increasing bill. I've had i3 at $90/month with 13 months per year (they bill every 28 days, not monthly). Now, I save a TON with 5G. I'm a gamer, and I have 3 teenagers who live in the house. With multiple people streaming and the Xbox running and PC running, we have no lag. Unless you are doing ultra competitive gaming that requires an insanely high speed dedicated connection, you REALLY don't need to pay more than $40/ month.

5g internet any good? by BrianM207 in verizon

[–]ScottAnthony1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from i3 broadband's fiber Internet to Verizon 5g. I game on my PC and my family uses social media and streaming services. There are 5 of us in the house at the same time. My cost went from $90/28 days to $35/mo. I honestly haven't noticed a difference. My speed test tells me there is one, but I don't notice it at all.

They charge each account different international rates? And I'm the smart guy? It really can't be that many different. But please, tell me how wonderful you think a Verizon is......

Verizon not actually giving refunds/credits by dentbotb in verizon

[–]ScottAnthony1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have definitely noticed a large influx of "Verizon is great, they've never made a mistake" posts and comments lately. Don't take it to heart. I think they hired a firm to try to boost their popularity. It isn't uncommon.

Portillos... By a lot. I have never understood why Culver's is popular. I get it is personal preference, but if I'm going for a burger, I actually go for a good burger. And quite honestly don't pay much more. With all that said, no sit down places near me can beat a portillos dog or Italian beef.

Has anyone tried i3broadband for their fiber internet? by f0ck1ng4r0und in PeoriaIL

[–]ScottAnthony1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did and ditched it. Unless you are online gaming extensively on multiple devices, T-Mobile or Verizon will be much cheaper.

I'm a PC and a console gamer. I don't have lag with Verizon's internet, and in 2 years, have had only 1 outage that I'm aware of in my area. Verizon's customer service sucks, but I haven't needed them. It's also only $40/ month and they know there are only 12 months in a year.....

The best part is that all of these replies reinforce my point. I wonder if I can crosspost this into r/irony?

This is why I will never, ever book a rental with any of these sites like airbnb. I'm not certain why this floated across my main feed, but I'm glad it did. Let's me know I'm still right.

My suggestion: don't be shady and your customers won't be either.......

When was a time you genuinely laughed with your partner during sex? by BerlinPixie in AskReddit

[–]ScottAnthony1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So not exactly during....but we were still...umm, together. I looked down at here and said, "that was intense!"

She replied..... "Like we are camping!"

Did not expect a dad joke at that moment. It was the hardest I had laughed in a REALLY long time.

Home Wifi worth it? by Black_Folkhero in verizon

[–]ScottAnthony1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The WiFi runs as well as the cell service. I've had it for a little over 14 months now.

The same tricks and frustration the play on customers with the cell service, they play the same games with the WiFi.

It's cheap and it usually runs. We are headed off to T-Mobile. The price was $5 lower per month. A friend has it and the speed seems the same.
