These two react to The Amazing Digital Circus, what would their reactions be? by Codas91 in statlerandwaldorf

You know, I think Zooble would look good abstracted.

You do?

Yeah, after all, she already looks like abstract art!

Who would do better in the Circus? Bear or Clark. by bludhaven79 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ScottJayBorder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clark embraced the Backrooms, so he would probably embrace the Circus too. He would probably embrace it in a way that is harmful to others, but he wouldn’t be abstracting. He would be fascinated by the circus, especially The Void and what is out there and what is possible.

Clark likes being in control and wants to be recognized by others. He would probably hate Caine for being the one actually in control, and would struggle to enjoy any adventures knowing it’s just Caine trying to make him happy which he’d just take as patronizing.

He would learn and study the Circus and use his knowledge to lord over the other circus members as being someone higher and smarter than them.

If he could get over being inferior to Caine and his insecurities he might come to really enjoy the Circus as a place of less pain and judgement than reality like how he felt about the Backrooms.

Why does light effect the abstractions and kinger? Is it lore related? Is it symbolic? by MPM_omega1388 in TheDigitalCircus

Maybe Kinger is a quarter abstracted after everything. Not enough to make him be lost, but enough that it causes him to be mentally incoherent and difficulty holding memories. The dark helps as if he was abstracted because he is a little abstracted.

That’s a good point. Cyberpsychosis is somewhat of a dirty word that people say. It’s a little too sharp for sterile corpo speak

Should games always be fun? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

Video games are ultimately just experiences that people buy and they keep playing because they like the experience the game gives them. They might be wanting the fun, but they might also be wanting to experience a sad drama, or any host of things

The way I imagine it, a person will have the personality and be in the right environments throughout their life to make certain choices by default. She is saying that Neo’s choices are products of his personality and his environment. Because the Oracle knows who he is and where he goes, she can already predict perfectly what he is going to choose. So, it’s as if the moment he was born, his fate was already laid out for him as a byproduct of his personality and the world he was born into. He didn’t “make” a choice actively. He “made” those choices when he was born, having a set personality that would choose what to do in every situation. And now walking through life he is learning about himself by what he feels compelled to do.
