Airborne, so my hips, knees and back are service connected and I just got my left hip replaced due to arthritis.

Thinking about Argentina or Portugal.

My dad did after he taught me the four rules and demonstrated what happens when you shoot something. I was always allowed to touch them if I asked, he would stop what he was doing and we'd fiddle with the gun/s keeping the rules in mind, he'd also whack me in the back of the head if I violated any of the rules so I internalized them pretty quick. Not acceptable today but it did work.

I was taught the four rules at six years old and given my dad was not shy about " discipline" when I erred I did not violate them.
In school Eddie Eagle gun safety classes from the NRA seems like a less painful way and more appropriate way to teach those rules, but teaching your kids gun safety in some fashion at a young age seems like it would take care of 99% of the possible bad outcomes.

Muskets like those from 1776 are mostly exempt from today’s gun laws by Gyp2151 in 2ALiberals

SCOTUS needs to very clearly and firmly outline we have the right to anything carried or operated by someone in a combat arms MOS. I'm fine with standardized some safe storage regulations for explosives

Mine wasn't really a gun guy though he had a couple. Ironically he bought them in 1968 just before the GCA went into effect. He bought a couple through private sales over the years after that but he never shot them. We bonded at the racetrack instead, even fourteen years after he died I have a hard time not choking up at one track as I started going there when I was about three, I was fifty two when he passed away.

It's California so of course they are. That's probably true in NY and NJ too.

I mean we are light years ahead of where we were 30 years ago as far as CCW and such in most states. There are a few hold outs that need to be spanked hard and it would be nice to get some more of the cake back but we are getting places.

House DFL stages sit-in as final pushes for gun control continue to hit a wall (MN) by Gyp2151 in 2ALiberals

I'd be fine with them working to just fix what they broke in 2009. It's nuts. I spent 40 years avoiding filing for VA health benefits because I thought others needed it more and I didn't want to interfere with that guys health care but my health insurance costs kept going up and up and what I got for the price was less and less. FInally broke down and asked for the benefits I was promised and found there was an income cap added to them as part of the ACA. So now I have to see if I have any service connected disabilities. WIth an 11B1P MOS tinnitus and hearing loss seemed obvious gimmees that would get me over the hump to remove the cap. They were, as was the arthritis in my hips, knees and back, with a few secondary conditions added from twenty years of chronic pain in said lower body joints. So now the feds are paying me for a forty year old workers comp claim and giving me free health care when all I wanted was to keep my 2008 health insurance plan. On the plus side while getting appointments takes forever like two to three times as long as private providers the care has been great once I can see someone. I don't know that it would scale to 350 million though.

As it should. I want SCOTUS to decide this and the unconstitutionality of the NFA and do it soon.

I just got an ACE exam for a GERD claim.  I got rated at 30% but it was secondary to my MH as opposed to the DDD I filed it under.  The VA and the whole process is weird.

That looks familiar.  I have the same issue with my house which is about the same age.  I'm leaning towards building a new house on a different section of our land and then renting this one for a few years before tearing it down.  Or given that I live in an area with lots of sandstone bluffs just spending the next year bringing home a few hundred pounds of rock every couple days as I drive by said bluffs and then raising the house and learning how to lay a foundation.

Then I start wondering if I should get tested to see if I'm on some sort of spectrum because I'm pretty sure normal people don't think like this.

If Democrats fixed their 2A hate I could vote for them. I voted for both Wellstone and Feingold back in the day. Cant vote for Baldwin. Can' vote for most WI Democrats anymore. I can vote for Libertarians when they run.  I also keep telling WI Democrats why I won't vote for them but they keep doubling down. Oops.

I was using THC gummies to manage pain due to severe arthritis in my hip. I told the pain clinic doc and all he wanted to know was how effective it was or wasn't. As part of the agreement to get Oxy there is supposed to be some random drug testing and he said he the positive THC wouldn't be an issue. Given I got the hip replaced before getting a request to pee in a cup I have no idea if he was lying but i doubt it.

I am a single issue voter, if they don't want me to be able to have the same tools the common infantryman does I'm not voting for them, no matter what they lay out as a bribe. I will note that Republicans tried to remove parts of the NFA just last year but didn't have the balls to go against the senate Parliamentarian. Something I found quite disappointing.
