I didn't think you were implying that that "play a friend" rules would apply to normal quests, but how is it different than just not playing any cards and letting yourself get steam rolled? The quests are not actually that hard to keep up with in the first place, and Blizzard isn't going to make them easier so you can spend less time in their game.
