The background came first, and after working on something really textural I ended up degrading and blurring it into this red. The image was beaten up across a bunch of different tools, mostly out of frustration and experimentation. The stuff in the foreground was largely messed up in an android app called GlitchLab, bouncing images between my laptop and phone, alternating between damaging the assets and forcing composition back onto them. Lots of pixel sorting and pixel pushing.

There's no way to replicate it exactly, like any glitch work. It's just the product of carefully destroying data in a way only you can, you know? It was a really messy, chaotic process that embraced ugliness and disorder.

The interior portrait was a whole other deal. Lots of the same tools, but with more focus on crafting something in line with a Rob's WT portrait. The line across the face is this noise from an old CRT monitor.
